Book Description:
In recent years, "dating" has become a dirty word in many Christian circles. So dirty, in fact, that young believers are now encouraged simply not to date. This position has provoked an open debate among teens, their parents and youth workers, and single adults. For a great number of them, many questions remain unanswered.

"Lord, what do I do with this desire to date?"

"Can dating be an option for young adults who love the Lord and long to please Him?"

Is not dating really the only acceptable option in God's eyes? The answer, assures author and youth pastor Jeramy Clark, is a resounding "No!"

The time has come for a sound, biblical, and practical approach that balances out the extreme perspectives: dating without responsibility versus a complete withdrawal from the dating process. Learn how you can confidently pursue healthy dating relationships that are characterized by holiness and integrity--and ultimately bring glory and honor to God--in I Gave Dating a Chance.

As the parent of a young teenager with two other children growing up right behind her, I think this book is going to be valuable to our family. Jeramy Clark has a humorous writing style, and he has packed these pages with scripture and excellent illustrations to convey not just a bunch of pit-falls people can get caught up in when dating, but solid strategies for developing a mind-set of purity and godliness. This book is not just a bunch of rules or "Don't do this, and absolutely don't think about that!" Instead, this book gives a person a solid approach for developing dating relationships that are characterized by holiness and integrity, to bring honor and glory to God. There are discussion questions for each chapter in the back of the book, which I intend to use with my kids!

I thought that this book was a very insightful look at dating from a christian perspective. It was not too extreme in any of it's views and for that reason I enjoyed reading it. It was very biblically orientated and I the author thoroughly researched and thought about what he was writing.

Well written, very interesting....a great Biblical middle ground between the extremes of total non dating, and no-holds barred clubbing.

I highly recommend this to other parents like us!
