About a girl who wants to save puppies from a puppy mill. They rescue some, and take them back to her grandma's vet clinic. Will the puppies survive? Can Maggie continue working at the Clinic if her grades are dropping? A great book all about one girl, her volunteer friends, and trying to save the rest of the puppies. Book one, in the Wild at heart series.

I adored these books when I was younger. They're great for any kid who loves animals or wants to be a vet. Even though they're from American Girl, there are guy characters and boys can love them too! This is number one in the series Wild at Heart.
