From #1 bestselling author Michael Connelly, a searing thriller about a simple wrong number that opens a line into terror. Henry Price has a whole new life-new apartment, new telephone, new telephone number. But the first time he checks his messages, he discovers that someone had the number before him. The messages are for a woman named Lilly, and she is in some kind of serious trouble. Price is inexorably drawn into Lilly's world, and it's unlike any world he's ever known. It is a nighttime world of escort services, Web sites, sex, and secret identities. Price tumbles through a hole, abandoning his orderly life in a frantic race to save the life of a woman he has never met. But every step into Lilly's past takes Price deeper into a web of inescapable intricacy-and a decision that could cost him everything he owns and holds dear.
My 1st book by Connelly and it was pretty good. I really liked the ending! Good story line. Some parts seemed a little to scientific for me, but other than that I would recommend it. Unabridged - 8 tapes

Michael Connelly (author of the Harry Bosch series) is a fantastic plotter and writer. Although this one isn't up to his best (Harry Bosch series or Lincoln Lawyer) it makes for a great audio "listen". A young tech entrepreneur lets his curiosity get the better of him as he tracks down a prostitute whose old phone number he has inherited.Lots of tech background and info about Internet porn sites. But this one keeps you on edge throughout waiting to see how (or if ) the young protagonist will get out of the mess he has stumbled into.

Good story. I wasn't too sure where it was going at first but I definitely wanted to find out. Quite a few twists and turns to keep you wondering. Highly recommended especially for Michael Connelly fans.
