I just picked this audio book because it was a James Patterson book. I had only ever only read one other book by him. I was pleasantly surprised with this one because the other book I read was When the Wind Blows and this is it's sequel. I enjoyed it very much. Patterson is so descriptive and brings the "flock" to life. Loved it!

A very nice book by James Patterson. A little on the twisted side, but a nice book.

There's a lot of disagreement among my friends on this one! Some don't like it, others loved it! Myself, I enjoyed it a lot! Glad I listenend to it!
This is the "sequel" to "When The Wind Blows" and continues the story to new levels. Max and the "flock" are sent to live with their bio-parents, but they seem to have imprinted to Frannie and Kit as their real parents. (I know this doesn't make much sense if you haven't read/listened to When The Wind Blows)
This book begins at this point, and moves to an unspeakable experiment happening at another school called the "Hospital". Max knows what is going on, but if she talks - she dies. (Of course she talks - if she didn't the book would END here).
With a "didn't see it coming" ending, The Lake House is a appropriate end to Patterson's most endearing stories.
Look out for the "Maximum Ride" books - they continue the "Flock" story - but are NOT sequels to this book.
Pick this one up - I don't think you'll be disappointed in the decision!
