Book Description:
From the back cover:

Such a crazy mistake!

Misreading an order for bridles, a New England farmer sends his four sisters-in-law as mail-order brides to Lickwind, Wyoming. When the four women step off the train, astonishment turns to mayhem as the men of the town suddenly spruce up and make time for courting.

Since James Collingswood--still without tack for his horses--can't afford train tickets to send the women back, they'll have to stay. But what future is there in Lickwind for:

Matty, the sociable sister who irritates James' very soul with her unending friendliness to the eager men of Lickwood.

Corrine, the mom-to-be still so pained over her young husband's death that she barely knows Luke Collingswood is alive.

Bess, who insists that the town must have a church, reform the brothel women, and straighten up the saloon keeper, Gideon Rikers.

Bertie, who can out perform any man she ever meets...until the mysterious Thomas Hardin becomes her personal protection agency.

Under such absurd circumstances, the sisters will certainly find laughter in Lickwind...but will they also find love? One thing's for sure--the town will never be the same again!

Reviewer: T. K. Sutton (Boca Raton, FL) -

I started reading this book and finished it in two days, even with my busy schedule. These stories about how four sisters end up in Wyoming due to a mistake from a newspaper ad are extremely funny and have great insights to how God wants us all to give Him our trust and love throughout all our "trials" in life. Each sister has her own characteristics and ends up finding her perfect male complement in the small Wyoming town of Lickwind. The stories made me want to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and remember the good old days I had growing up in a small town in Michigan. I definitely recommend this book of treasures. You won't want to put it down until it's done and then you will want it to continue.

The book jacket reads, in part, as follows:
"Misreading an order for bridles, a New England farmer sends his four sisters in law as mail order brides to Lickwind, Wyoming. When the four women step off the train, astonishment turns to mayhem as the men of the town suddenly spruce up and make time for courting."

I happened to like the book. It is well written and the stories held my attention. I do not normally sit down and read a book cover to cover in a short amount of time, but I did on this one. It is Christian based, in part, but not overly so. The publishing company is "Heartsong". Hope you'll enjoy it!
