Book Description:

The Yada Yada Prayer Group is the first novel in this best-selling series from Neta Jackson.

What do an ex-con, a former drug addict, a real estate broker, a college student, and a married mother of two have in common? Who would have thought that God would make a group as mismatched as this the closest of friends?

Being thrown together with 500 strangers at a women's conference can take you out of your comfort zone. Being placed in a prayer group of twelve women from such diverse backgrounds can be completely awkward.

But something happened that weekend to make the group realize they had to hang together. The "Yada Yada Prayer Group" was born and decided to meet regularly to pray for each other-knocking off each other's rough edges and learning to laugh and cry along the way!

This is a heartwarming book with a great spiritual context. Very down to earth humorous style that you will absolutely love. You will fall in love with this bunch of mismatched women that learn to grow together through prayer.

Sorry, I only made it through the 5th chapter before dropping it back in the library bookdrop. I found the author's writing style as underdeveloped and the dialogue too unrealistic. For example, Avis invites her co-worker to a Women's Conference where she complains about attending the prayer group because it might keep her up past her bedtime. However, when Avis does decide to show up she ends up being the leading prayer! Other "churched" ladies have such bad attitudes that I just couldn't continue. Perhaps that turns out to be the point of the story...enough prayer can change the attitude?!
