She could very well be the key to taking down the man responsible for turning Ian and Braden into unstable cat shifters. Unfortunately, theyre not the only ones after Katie. Katie has no intention of going quietly or of offering her trust on a silver platter. Shes got troubles of her own that dont include two pain-in-the-ass men who claim her dead brother sent them. Maya Banks is delving into the "breed" series in a yummy way. This book is a good as the first if not better.

I really liked this one and the first book Into the Mist. They are both excellent books with strong women who are bound and determined to be nobody's fools. Maya Banks manages to make her heroine Katie strong without being unable to give or bend, yet vulnerable without making her a wuss or a doormat. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm really, really looking forward to more in this series. These guys have been experimented on by this gas that gives them the ability to shift into another form/forms without their knowledge or consent. Reminds me a little of the Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan, only those guys can't actually shift shape. Very good story with a bit of a new twist to keep it fresh and interesting. I like that the characters from the first book show up in this one. You get to keep up with what is going on with them. Excellent series so far.
