Compilation of Cleveland Amory's stories about his cat, Polar Bear. Though it has some discussion of animal cruelty in it (Amory's animal activism is discussed at length) I really enjoyed this, particularly his description of Polar Bear as his own entity, not just an extension of his owner. The first book of the combined trilogy is the best, but the whole thing is well worth the read.
