Excellent Templar Knight mystery featuring Templar Bascot du Marins, who is currently staying under the protection of Nicolaa de da Haye, the castellan of the castle and wife of the sheriff. Victims of murder are found in an alehouse. Who are they? And how did they get there? One of the victims is the husband of the alewife. He has not been killed in the same manner as the others.

Absolutely enthralling Thea Kozak book. I am going to be so disappointed when I run out of Kozak books to read. There's plenty of action and romance, murder and mystery, in this excellently written book.

Escellent beginning of a series. Mystery, woo-woo, a charming Scotsman (thought sometimes abrupt), and an interesting female lead.

This book was interesting reading. I've been looking forward to it for quite a while. Do not hesitate to read it when you can. Kristin Van Dijk goes for revenge after a violent attack against her & others ends in the death of her father. She is ably assisted by a man whose own son was also killed.

Cleo Tyler is a psychic, but wishes she wasn't. Sometimes she just fakes it, because the real experience is too painful. Daniel Sinclair, small-town cop with a slightly mentally handicapped brother, just doesn't trust Cleo or her brother.
This is a good entertaining book. Not too light, not too dark. There's definitely suspense, danger, and one horror striking portion.
Romance is also raising it's head, and neither Cleo nor Sinclair want to acknowledge it's happeing.

Billy Boyle is the introductory novel to a world we today do not know. Billy has just gotten to be a detective in Boston. He's part of a large clan of Irish friends and relatives. His mother does not want him to be drafted. When she remembers a distant relative (a Doud)b is married to a general who is stationed stateside, she makes arrangements for Billy to be attached to this general. The Doud connection is to Uncle Ike, who Billy soon discovers is now in England! His Irish relatives aren't excited about his helping the English.
Billy is immersed in a world of secrecy. He soon discovers he's to help discover a spy at a Danish compound in England. When murder happens, he gets involved. There's new friends, a Polish count and a beautiful Englishwoman.
This book was an interesting read. Billy isn't always honest; he goes around the rules & laws. Billy is almost an innocent abroad who is growing up & learning as he works. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I heard about this book from a friends. It was a pretty good mystery with plenty of interesting characters. There's human interest, suspense, murder, and even a hurricane. Good reading. If you like boating, or reading about boating and exotic locales, this is the book for you.

Fairy tale mixed with WWII & Holocaust revelations. A good story with a bit of history mixed in. A bit of romance and a bit of family tales. This book takes the story of Sleeping Beauty and mixes it up with real life.

Lawyer Andy Carpenter is asked to help his friend Vince with the defense of his son in a serial murder case. There are several surprises in this book. Friendship, the "mob", family ties, and publicity all are part of this book. It wasn't the best read I've had recently, but pretty good.

Diana Dover's twin sister is trouble. Diana has changed her life. She isn't the high-powered, busy doctor anymore, but a waitress in a small town. When her sister appears (and then disappears), Diana is left holding the bag - and it's full of money! Tate Raleigh is her boss and a lawman as well. Romance may have its place if the two of them can stay alive.

I continue to love Linda Barnes' book with Carlotta Carlyle. In this book, she is approached by a woman who wants her to find her missing immigration card which shows up with a dead woman. There are lots of complications involving immigration, Paolina (her little sister from the Big Sisters program), and some interesting law enforcement officers.
