my biggest problem with this book was the fact that every single chapter was a different character's point of view. Now this wouldn't seem like such a big deal BUT when it's like 8 - 9 different characters, it gets fustrating & confusing at times ::pulls hair:: ugh!

I also wish the author would have given more background story to the "darklings". I had a bit of trouble imagining where they came from & honestly the main storyline. Is it a romance, a horror story or a fantasy?

Like the original concept of "dream harvesting" but besides that not much else.

I highly doubt I will continue this series even if the author publishes the 2nd book.

Get your tissues ready because this story is bound to touch your heart!

I cannot believe I stayed away from this book for so long & glad that even though I had heard so many negative reviews I still went ahead and got it.

This story is in no way like Meyer's Twilight saga. Even though there is romance involved, it doesn't become the main focus. Instead you are reminded what it is to be human, what is feels like to fall in love, sacrificing for your loved ones and what truly matters in the end.

I laughed, cried (mostly the last 75 pgs lol) and wondered how would it all end. I heard Meyer is making this into a trilogy & cannot wait to read the continuation of all these characters' journey.

I am sorely disappointed with this installment of the Vampire Chronicles. This was just a loooonngg religious rant on Rice's part to describe Christianity, creation, dogma her way. Not that I have a problem with that BUT don't make it a part of the Vampire Chronicles just write a separate religious book.

I only finished it because I wanted to see if by some miracle it would pickup & turn out well. This was such a waste & I am hesitant to even continue the Vampire chronicles.
