It's been a while since I read this book but want to give a great review. One of the best books I have read recently. Moving and funny and just a wonderful author that gives you all the character's feelings. I have recommended to my friends and now to you also.

Third of the Stanley Hastings mysteries this is a fast-moving and quick reading story with lots of dialogue and further development of the interesting characters that continue in the long series--still being written with the release of Caper in 2010. Stanley ends up in Atlantic City reluctantly and ineptly getting involved with the mob and a blackmail scheme on behalf of Sgt. MacAullif. Mayhem follows. I love this series and will be looking for the books I have missed. Bobbi Myers

This is one of the best books I have read this year. Thriller is the first of a trilogy but stands alone as great suspenseful reading. Two main characters are a true odd couple, a respected journalist in trouble after being convicted of libeling a businessman and a young hacker--much tattooed and pierced. Plot is complicated and characters are complex but complete. No stopping after you've started this one. I couldn't wait for the next two books. Swedish author died in 2004 after completing these three books and the translations into English are just being completed on the 3rd book this year. B Myers

First book in series by one of my favorite authors. I read each of her books as soon as they come out. I keep buying copies for friends.

This is the fourth book in Hall's Stanley Hastings mysteries which are still being written in 2010. Stanley's job as a private eye working for an ambulance chasing attorney gets him in trouble again as several of the clients are discovered "dead on his arrival". Another fast moving, easy-reading mystery --I love the humor in these books. Read and enjoy. Bobbi Myers
