This is a sturdy little board book version. My Kindergarteners love to hold it and retell the story. It is the right size for their hands. The pictures are bright and cheerful.

This is such a fun little book, and it is very effective for Teaching rhyming to my Kindergarten class. I change my voice to match each animal and the kids just love it. They chant these rhyming animal names. They retell the story. They ask for it repeatedly. A++++

This is a wonderful read-aloud for a wide age span. The characters are deep and vibrant. We laughed and cried through the way Betsy came alive and the way she became part of something really special to others because of her own transformation. Sweet details and underlying message. Gets down to to the basics and beckons the reader back as well.
