If you like historical fiction set in early England, this series set in a priory will appeal to you. All books are great mysteries, well written and historically accurate. Dame Frevisse is a sharp sleuth and very likeable.
Bernie Rhodenbarr is a burgular. His dentist knows it and wants a favor. As Bernie prowls the dentist's ex-wife's home, liberating her jewelry, he finds himself locked in her closet. Things go downhill from there.

Donati is a great writer and has compelling stories and characters. I searced the library desperately for the next installment after finishing each book. Now I'm trying to fill out my own set to loan to others. Worth owning.
