An absoultely fascinating read about Franklin. This book portrays him to be highly intelligent, innovative, an inventor, a great scientist, a savvy businessman, articulate, witty, vindictive, and a social butterfly with royalty, persons of influence and females in particular. I very much enjoyed this book and the detailed description of the time, Franklin himself, others (such as John Adams), and how the world perceived Franklin as a great man and mind.

An intriguing account of the times and the life of John Adams in Puritan Massachusetts. Read Benjamin Frankin's bigraphies for countering views and opinions to get a glimpse at how Franklin, and perhaps others, viewed John Adams as narrow and small minded.

I simply didn't enjoy this book. Not sure what I expected when I started it but it just never got my attention. I felt like it was a Rudy Giuliani self-love fest from page one.
Other reviews suggest he describes his principles of leadership and how he put them into action to help the city recover from the 9/11 terrorist attack. No doubt he led the city well but a writer and stroyteller he is not.

A good, quick read. Well developed plot and characters. A bit sci-fi meets action thriller.
