"Very riveting story of a families dreams for a bright future and the tough times they had to make those dreams come true. I have read this book before and would like to collect the whole series. The books brought me closer to my Norwegian heritage and my spiritual beliefs. I felt anticipation, anger, sadness, fear and joy as I read. I also began checking into more of my families immigration to America. You don't have to be Norwegian to enjoy this very harrowing story of survival."

"I have made many of the recipes from this book and they were great. You don't feel like your dieting or even need to be to enjoy these recipes. The additional information proves to be helpful also. I copied many recipes that looked to be to my liking and would now like to share with someone else so they can share with others."

"I enjoy Erica Spindler's writing very much. This book kept me know my toes, changing my idea of who the villain was. I read the last 100 pages before I could go to sleep. I just had to know how it ended, it was 1am by the time I finished! A very good read."

"This is one of the most griping books I have ever read. The range of emotions I felt while reading spanned the spectrum of all emotions. The child's courage and perseverance was remarkable. I just wanted to grab the child up and give him all the love he deserved. If you have a weak stomach I'd pass then again if you love children no matter who they are it's a must read."

"I fell in love with Catherine Coulter's writing. I thought I knew who was committing the crimes and was surprisingly surprised by who it really was. I had it wrong for the most part. I like it when a book keeps me guessing until the end and this book does that."

"This is a very good book for children ages 1 to 10 years old. It has great pictures and information to learn. Very young children enjoy the pictures and older children can use the information for a school project. a very good book over all. All my grandchildren have enjoyed this book."

"I was surprised for a first book how good it is and kept my interest. I found the characters interesting and their roles in the plot very well put together. The best part is you didn't figure it out until the very end. I found it was well written and a very very good read."

"I loved this book. I had no idea who was behind the mystery until the very end when I began guessing. I was right but it took me a long time to realize who it was."

"I had never read any of V.C Andrews books before and can not wait to read more of her work. I was so drawn in by the actions of a mother and grandmother I couldn't put this book down. I even looked into the story that this book is based on a true story; what I found shows there is no proof it's a true story and by the contents and actions of the characters I pray it's not. I am now waiting for the movie from Netflix. This is a must read."

"It seems people always believe that anyone who rides a motorcycle is a bad person, I think this book shows that most are just like everyone else in the world. People do many of things the Hell's Angels have done and they don't ride a motorcycle. I found the book very interesting."

"I loved the twists and turns in the plot. The characters are great and one can't help but fall in love with them and feel their fear. As usual I had a hard time putting the book down."
