Provides an excellent homeschool project, especially in a unit study context. Depending on the age of the child, it can be an independent project, resulting in a full color, paper model that he or she can proudly display.
This is a useful and accessible cookbook for those inclined to use the crockpot as a time saver, and for those who like interesting recipes. For the most part, the recipes aren't so exotic that the ingredients are hard-to-find, yet the recipes are at the same time interesting. All recipes I've used so far have been successful. It's not a book to sit on the shelf being useless, especially if you are prone to use a crockpot in the first place.
