As Jack soon discovers that his reluctant bride is no ordinary beauty, he feels a stir of admiration, among other emotions, that wasn't part of the bargain. Nice sequal to Almost A Bride. Meg Barratt, the heroin's best friend from Almost A Bride is the main character. She is mistakenly kidnapped by privateer Cosimo's crew and the rest of the book is her adventure with him on his mission to assisinate Napoleon Bonaparte. Nice story line, however knowing that the assasination will not work from the get-go took away from the plot. Somewhat of a weak ending.
