"I stumbled across Eloisa James by accident in reading one of the books in this Duchess series. I loved the story and the characters, and bought the rest of the series as soon as I finished it.

This one was a lovely story as well. I am intrigued by Jemma's storyline as well, and have often found myself wishing she had her own story.

I enjoy Eloisa's writing, humor, plotlines and characters. This is a must-read, as is the series!"

"I've never watched the HBO series, and I don't plan on it anytime soon. I've loved the book series so much, the TV show is guaranteed to disappoint me.

The 1st book made me fall for Sookie and her men, and after I finished it, I immediately ordered every other book in the series. I just finished Dead in the Family (Book 9, I believe?) and I can't wait until Charlaine publishes her next one. I hope they go on for at least several more. I'm so involved in these books that when I finish one, I don't read anything else for days so I can just think about the one I've finished.

And I'm very much Team Eric."

"This was one of my favorite James Patterson books! There were about 4 different readers and all were excellent, not to mention the enthralling plotline, and super surprise ending! I loved every single minute of it."

"I adored this book. I am forever wishing for stronger female leads, and I love paranormal romance. Elena was self-sufficient, strong, smart, and TALL! At 5'10" I was excited to finally see a heroine taller than a petite 5'2".

Kelley Armstrong writes with humor, it flows well, and I enjoyed the story. Just enough romance to satisfy without overdoing it."

"This was the 1st in a series that I started, based on a recommendation from another PBS reader who liked another series (The Carpathians) that I liked. Anyway, she suggested this one so I gave this 1st book a try. I wasn't too sure at first who I was rooting for. Sweet, kind, wouldn't-hurt-a-fly Paul, or crazy, dark, dominant Clay. The only downside to the book was that she hurt Paul, which I'm never a fan of. Other than that, I loved the down-to-earth writing. It was modern, sexy, thrilling and super fun to read! As soon as I finished it, I wish-listed the other 9 books in the series."

"The 1st 3 books in this series are captivating. I'm not usually a Fantasy fan, but these really drew me in. I fell in love with the characters and couldn't put this book down."

"Yay! Another Elena book! While I've loved Paige's and Eve's stories, I was very excited to read about this new and exciting twist in Elena's life. I was so happy with where Clay and Elena were in their relationship in this book. I thought Kelley Armstrong wrote the story of Elena's pregnancy very well, and it lacked NO amount of danger or romance! I loved the reappearance of Jaime Vegas, and I'm excited to read HER story next."

"My favorite genre is romance, and keep that in mind when I say that Christine Feehan overdoes the sex scenes. I love a well-written sex scene just as much as the next fan, but honestly, after the first few, I skim over them when I see them coming. She weaves an intriguing plot, and that's what keeps me going. I like the characters, for the most part. I wish her females would be a little quicker to embrace the Carpathian way. They are so strong in so many other ways (or at least she tries to make them out to be), you would think they would be strong and smart enough to adapt a little quicker to feeding. I hope she writes one about a female who shocks them all by adapting much quicker.

I bought the first 4 books in this series before reading any of them, and i'll at least finish these 4. After that, we'll see if I continue with the series.

And I truly get tired of romance books about little, tiny, petite women. How about a tall, beautiful Amazon woman??"

"This series was recommended to me by a friend, and I bought the first 4 to start out (except book 2, I couldn't find it in my used book store). I was confident i'd love it, since I love romance and I love vampires!

HOWEVER, I was disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the first 1 or 2 times the characters made love, and the discovery of eachother in terms of the whole "bloodlust/Vampire" thing was kind of hot. After that, it just got tedious. I found myself skimming the love scenes just to get back to the story. I never thought i'd hear myself say such a thing! lol.

I also thought the character development was poor. I never found myself liking Raven. Feehan went over and above trying to portray her as compassionate and caring, but to me it came across as weak and stupid. She continuously got herself into trouble. She's like the heroine in the horror movie who goes outside in her nightie, unarmed, to look for the killer. You just want to scream at her and tell her to run the other way! I like to admire the heroines in my books. If you're not strong enough to assist in a fight between vampires (Jaques vs. Andre), then please be smart enough to run the other way! I wanted to shake this girl.

I have books 3 and 4, and I hate to read books out of order, so I think i'll go find Dark Desire (#2). I've read good things about the author and series, so i'm determined to give her another chance. Well, I suppose I'm giving her 3 more chances..."

"It has taken me a long time to read this full series, mostly because of the long wait lists on PaperBackSwap! I've loved every book, and this one did not disappoint. It has been awhile since we're read an Elena book, and I enjoyed her Alaskan adventure. I read Men of the Otherworld before I read this one, and I think it is helpful to get Joey's backstory before reading this one."

The Gift (Witch and Wizard, Bk 2) (Audio CD) (Unabridged)
Review Date: 9/6/2012

"I listened to this audio CD before I realized this was a trilogy, so I will have to go back and listen to the first one. Still, the storyline was easy to pick up and the plot was interesting. Not as gripping as James Patterson's other adult novels, but it made the time pass quickly in the car. I was NOT a fan of Spencer Locke's annoying voice, but the other 2 readers were good. I wish they had read the entire book and left her out."
