After following "the Sam Spade w/hairballs" thru the alphabet from B to S, It was fun to go back to his origin. These 4 prequels are hard to find, but worth it !

If you're looking for a good mystery..this isn't it...But, if you are like me and have read the previous 27, it's a good "letter from home" catching up on the goings on in Mouse County. The end leaves more questions than answers, so I hope it's not the end of the series...

Read like a female/feline version of "Lord of the Rings". Was her transition from children's book to adult books. A good foundation to start her "Joe Gray mystery series" that I dearly love!
