"It's got a lot of good stories, but it has a lot of confusing ones too. I orginially got this one for my kids to read a story a day but found they didn't like the ones they were reading. So I picked it up since I like short stories. I'm an adult and even I had some trouble understanding a few of them. It's a good book for picking one story a night before bed. Most aren't that long, just a few pages and it's a good way to wind down the day."

"Aside from the 800 pages you will want this book no matter what. If your a true "Dark Hunter" fan then nothing will stop you from actually finding time to read it. I read all the other reviews before I got this one and I didn't believe that the begining of this book would make me be angry, sad, and want to litterly kill those in the book. Trust me have a box of tissue's with you. The book keeps you reading regardless of how long the story seems. It will become a mission just to see what happens and seriously you will wish for the worst to happen to Artemis quite often.
In all the other books I never felt that I should feel bad for Appolimi until this one. There is a great injustice done in the beginining of this book and you can not fault her since you know you would do the same thing."

"I can actually say, very interesting. And very disturbing lol. I never had a problem wanting to find out what happened next, just finding the time to read it. I was shocked at the ending, and felt it finished off pretty good. Make you want to see if there really is a "beast house" out in California..."

"The three stories, were to say the least, very erotic! But for plot lines not so much. It does stir the imagination, bad if you live a lone for sure, but not much in the way of thoughts that you want to keep it and read it over and over again.
This is one book I do not have a problem putting back into the list to go back out into the world."

"I have to say I found pretty much all of these stores disturbing, and some even really sick to read. Not a book I would recomend to my friends, but i'm sure there is someone out there who might like it. I'm an avid horror fan and read all types of books, but this one really wasn't my cup of tea...."

"I am only giving it two stars cause at least the ending didn't end with a big pile of people having sex. Point for Anita I guess. I am also glad that I did not pay for this one. As with all the other reviews about this one, this woman gets more men then a working girl in a day! Don't we wish all the men where so friendly. I am glad to see she didn't have sex with the dumn one for a change that would have just made me want to throw the book out. Normally I would keep all of this series in my collection but I think this one is going to have to go back up in here to be sent off. Let someone else get to read it without having to pay for it. It's not worth paying for. I just hope the next one is better."

"All I can really say is: That was different....
Quick read, but it leaves you feeling like it could have gone further then what it did. I will not give anything away to this story but if you like books that are explict in wording then you will be ok with this one too."

"We Listened to this one on a 15 hour road trip and were clued to our seats through the whole thing. It was nice to think we always knew who was the bad guy but never truely figured it out until they tell you in the end lol.
Loved the book, and even passed it to other family memebers who didn't get to listen to it. They loved it.
Worth the read/listen..."

"Love it! Can't wait to get the next one, even if it's a little slower I still have a ton of questions. Like "what did the grey lady do"? She is not what she seems, neither is that child (creepy)
I am going to have to buy all this series in hard back as keepers. Maybe even cd I'd they make it."

"I love all his books really, but this one had me read twice, and I want the CD's to listen too in the car for the long drive back and forth to work, it's that good.
It's got a lot of twist's to it, like most of his books, but this one is a little stranger then most. You could never guess how it ends!"

"Went through the whole book wondering what was going on, waiting and waiting, then it finally gets to explaining something, and King just drops it!!!
I have never been so upset with a book! I don't recomend this one, unless you want to be left with a million questions and no answers."

"I laughed, I cried, got mad, held my breath to in anticipation, literlly couldn't put it down. Took me two days to read and I loved it! This book had everything it takes to make a repeat readable book on myself. If it can make me do all those things and think about it for hours on end afterward it is an excellent book and the writer knows how to keep a reader interested. A++++ author!"

"Nice, but you still want more. This one was good but I have read better of her's. There are too many open ends in this one for my taste. But still a good read. Too much mushy romance/sex and not enough of the charictures and really no plot whatsoever.

Oh and not all covers look like the one with the panther on it, the one I recieved has the tacky woman hanging off the man cover. lol Up until I saw the tacky cover I was able to get away with telling everyone they are not romance novels. You just can't do that with a tacky stary eyed woman hanging on to his pants leg,on the floor, staring up at him like he is a god of somekind, while the big hunky guy stands there looking all fabioish. lol Just not what you want to see on the cover of a vampire type of novel."

"WOW!
Out of all of the Carpathian books so far that I have read (and I have read nearly all) this is by far and away the BEST OF THEM ALL! It is THE book to read if you have already read "Dark Celebration". It goes beyond the birth of the baby, into the other two pregnancies. It makes you laugh, cry, and chew off everyone of your nails wondering what is going to happen next!
It also shows that there could possibly be a light at the end of their tunnel, and a way to beat the bad guys after all. :)"

"I do have to say that of all the books of hers so far this one is the best ever. It is a long book, but it is so worth the time. It only took me 4 day to finish it, yes it was that good. You won't even see of sex scene for at least 300 pages and that was cool, since it allowed for a lot of action and fighting going on. You learn a huge plot against the carpaithians that you don't get enough of in any of the other books I think. The carictures are very easy to get close too, and the vampires are easy to hate but you learn a lot of another side of the bloodlines you never knew about. The Mage.

It is a wonderful, exciting book"

"YOu get a new inside into what they could be like without a mate.... If the mind is shattered by the loss of their mate and they decide not to follow them...... and what happens if they can't remember their family. It was a good story, we get to learn about 3 charictures (a little about Gregori, and how he ends up with his lifemate).... I found it refreshing to get away from just the macho "i'm all that and a bad of chips" mentality that most of the carpathian men have.

I find that for those who get lost while reading these series, pick up "Dark Celebration" and you will get more of a great inside story on all the males as a whole. Since in Celebration they all get to come together for a large celebration of This couples coming "joy".... It will make you laugh till your side hurts, cry till your head hurts, and pick up again and again, when you finish reading any of these other ones.
:)

I can't wait till I get the latest one in this series!"

"I have to say that out of all of them that I have read so far, this was by far the greatest!!!!
Truely. It has a wonderful plot, you learn so much about the charictures of the story and the humans that become part of their lives as well. Thru all the books you know what happens to the males if they don't find their lifemates, but what happens to the other halfs of the whole.

I loved it, and Can't wait to get the next ones in the series."

"I got this book cause of the reviews it got. It did not dissapoint either.. WOW, and HOLLY COW! is all I can say. THey are right when your reading this you will feel like your there in the middle of it all! I am definatly going to be looking into seeing what other books of his are on here for ordering :)This author is pretty intense with his fast pace writing. Much like Koontz can do with his books, by drawing you in and holding you down till the end....Awesome!"

"I'm only give this one 2 1/2 stars. I was so excited to get to solange and who her mate could be since we had seen her in other books. So damanged mentally I figured it would take a strong man. But what she got in Dominic wasn't really cool. The headgame of "you should do whatever I say or I won't be pleased" is CRAP! Normally I can laugh at the men Feehan writes about, they can be pushy but ultimatly the women win with their "it's my life" attitued and "you can't tell me what to do". But this time they took an already strong woman and turned her into a mushy girl! Solange is anything BUT a girly girl in the other books. I do have to worry about what she will do with the last De La Cruz brother though, as he is the most dominate of them all. We get to see about 10 seconds of Zacarious here, he is made out to be more noble and powerful then Dominic and I would even say "the prince". I do hope she does not make him out to be a mental game player like she did Dominic. I also would have loved to see more action in this one, which you don't. They spend their time hiding in a cave, also not what you would expect from Solange.
I guess you have to write at least one crappy one before you can write a few good ones."

"Learning about Manilito (little man), and his journey to make sure his lifemate Maryann, who is more then she appears, will consent to stay and help him heal. You learn more about the del la cruz brothers and about the Prince's family as well. It was nice to find this book after reading the "Dark Celebration" book.

MaryAnn maybe a girly girl, but she is just as stubborn as any other lifemate, plus she brings and added surprise that makes her even more of a handfull then anyother.

I can't wait to read about his brother's adverture next."
