"I liked this novel a lot about the life of a young man during China's cultural revolution in the 70's. Only problem was that the story was too short!"

"I loved this book! I usually don't like writing that is too into detail, but this author really hits the mark with her descriptions of what the characters are thinking and feeling. Mothers will especially get her descriptions of mothering young children. A good, quick read."

"This was an interesting story, but I didn't love it. I wanted to keep reading to figure out the mystery but I didn't really like many of the characters. A couple of the plot lines just die out which was a little annoying. Not a bad book though."
