Another spellbinder from Grisham...will make you think about all the elections you've ever been involved in. Grisham brings you into a world you never knew existed and although he denies any truth to it it leaves you with the hairs up on the back of your neck! As with any of his books always a great read. He shows us the legal system as we never knew it!

Easy read about the power of making good choices. Written from the perspective of the family dog,it will have you laughing out loud at times. Believable yet completely fiction, the kind of book that makes you think twice about your actions and place in the world. A definite reccommend!

I love this authors work ... this another example of her triumphs and tragedies of working with special needs children. Toreys great insight into the power of love never ceases to amaze me. This story revolves around a girl who lives a tragic life and struggles with overcoming elective mutism. The only complaint I have is that all her books end abruptly as does her work with the children at the end of the school year.

Great read...a peek inside the world of the poor, and possibly mildly retarded Ruth. Interesting look at her longings for a better life yet also her acceptance of the life she had. The author really lets you look through Ruths eyes as she grows up with a critical, distant mother.Your heart will ache for a better life for poor Ruth, and it will swell with hope from her aunt that truly cares. Definitely worth reading.

A well written look into the life of one persons struggle with Bi-polar disorder. Leaves you with a better and more empathetic insight of what people suffering with this illness feel and think. She allows the reader to experience her highs and lows regardless of any remorse or embarrassment. It was truly a courageous body of work.
