Well-written story with interesting characters set amid a backdrop of political and cultural upheaval. Suspenseful, twisty, kept you guessing all the way to the end!

Such a good book! Magic, mystery, adventure, romance, and some fabulous characters! A feisty witch and a sexy, mysterious vampire take on ancient legends to find out the truth about themselves and their past. A bit philosophical and esoteric at times, but still thoroughly enjoyable. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy.

Very meh from Roberts. Obviously you keep reading them knowing how they're going to end, but this felt sort of anti-climactic. Her later trilogies with magic and fairies are more well-written and have better characters.

If you're looking for light, enjoyable reading, this is a good choice. I hadn't really read one like this before, with three love stories all put together in one book, but it worked well and had enough romance to keep me interested. As always, Julia Quinn is delightful!

Captain Wentworth may have officially taken over as "best Austen man". Charming, sweet, attentive, and articulate. He is definitely swoon-worthy. This book felt more romance than social commentary than some other Jane Austen books, but it's still well worth the read. The classic lines and well written characters make this a necessity for any Austen collection.
