"I really enjoy Lisa Jackson's New Orleans series. What's nice about this book is that it introduces new characters as the main characters so if you don't read the others its fine. Pretty good book. Lots of plot twists and of course my favorite detectives, Bentz and Montoya. Lots going on and the history of the characters make you grateful you didn't grow up in that family."

"I loved this book. I couldn't hardly get anything done until I finished it. Not what I was expecting when I started reading but it gripped me from the first few pages. Masterfully written with great characters. I laughed, cried and didn't sleep well that first night. Couldn't ask for more in a book. I highly reccommend anything written by Dean Koontz."

"Lisa Unger is a really good suspense writer. I will read more books by her because the story captures you and you can't put it down."

"I absolutely loved this book! I picked this up on a whim and have never been more rewarded with an impulse purchase. I couldn't put it down and yes, I lost sleep over it but totally worth it. I have read Unger's other books since but this one is my favorite. So many twists and turns you really feel like your in the driver's seat in this one."

"This book is not for the faint of heart. I found it truly riveting and hard to put down. Reminds me of Stephen King's early work and scary enough you might not want to read before bed. A terrible secret in a small town is about to be let loose. Two people under harsh circumstances they cannot control are led to this town and their worst nightmares come to life. Forgetting the past is easier said than done."

"I'm not a teenager anymore and I still thought this series of books were really good. I like to read fictional witchcraft and this book does a nice job of showing what Wicca really is. There is suspense, drama, misunderstandings and scary situations all rolled into one book. Very good read and the others in the series are even better."

"I used this recipes on my husband and father (who has a heart condition) without telling them they were "healthy" meals. Both loved them all and since they are both big guys I had enough food to go around."

"I picked this up and read it without realizing it was book 3 in a series. Usually that bothers me; not reading books in order but this book I couldn't tell. I wasn't confused, I followed the story and really enjoyed it. Very suspensful and romantic. Tami Hoag is a very enjoyable writer."

"I really liked this book! I only read the romance books occasionally and this one is heavy on the..uh..hmm romance. New Orleans is a great setting for this book and the main characters make it even spicier."

"Family trouble ahead. Not what I was expecting at all and when I finished the book it made me want to sit down and get to REALLY know my family better. Suspensful and scary and lots of plot twists to keep you guessing. Really enjoyed this book that I will look for more from this author."

"This book literally had me afraid to turn out the light. There are many things going on at the same time and at first you start to think there is something off about the female lead but it quickly develops into a engrossing plot of buried secrets and unspeakable horror. The house is evil and its changing everyone to get what it wants."

"This was just a completely involved novel. Totally engrossing in ways that are hard to fnd in many books today. The lead character has started thinking about her life, her mistakes and her future. She leads you on a soul searching, heart wrenching journey to figure out the rest of her life while trying to make up for her indiscretions and still hold her family together."

"This book goes into pretty good detail for being such a small book. Easily read and very descriptive (was very surprised actually). Enjoyable and I learned quite a bit I didn't already know about runes."

"This book is truly captivating. I could not put it down (or get anything else done!) How the lives of these characters become entwined is magickal and each separate character comes to life in their own unique way. Learning the ways of Southern Georgia and how different things are even in recent years is fascinating. I will be keeping this book in my collection for many years to come."

"Really enjoyed this book! Many twists and turns. Jumps from the present to the past while still fluently keeping the story together. I was reading and kept thinking "Oh I know what they're trying to find and where it is..." and ended up being wrong lol. Must read for anyone interested in the craft or Salem Witch Trials. This author absolutely did her research and wove it in very nicely."

"This final book in the 4 book series was great! I thought I knew how things would go but then something happens and I'm left guessing until the end. I am older than YA and I thought the whole series was good. Great take on what witchcraft is really about."

"I wanted to be mad in this book at Jacob for keeping secrets but as it turns out it was nothing like what I thought it would be. Things get really dark and twisted in this book the 3rd in the series. Unexpected turnouts that will keep you reading."
