My first introduction to Dexter is from the Showtime series. I am always fascinated by rule breaking characters. We're not supposed to like Dexter, he's a serial killer!

I turned to the books after 'wanting more' from the series. I applaud Jeff Lindsay's humor and intriguing concept. The books are not exactly like the series, they are darker and focus more on the inner workings of the true Dexter.

This series is NOT for the faint of heart. Not only is Dexter a serial killer but he is a blood spatter specialist that investigates horrific crime scenes.

Excellent book. Great follow up to "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".

Contains violence, language and adult concepts.

A thriller I could not put down.

I've read this book twice and could easily read it again. It's a great discussion book for book clubs or anyone who loves discussing good books that make you think.
