"Not only do I love the title of this book, I love the characters, their "stories," their love for each other and their friendship. I definitely recommend this book to everyone that appreciates the value of a great friendship."

"This book broke my heart but I couldn't put it down. Kissing my kids goodnight made me sad for the childhood Jeannette Walls did not have, but also inspired me. This memoir is so well written; while I do not wish for the childhood she had, I also didn't find myself pitying her. Definitely recommended!"

"This was a quick, easy read that was just okay. I didn't really get much out of reading this, although I liked the "idea" and the title."

"I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it. It was "blah" and I felt detached from the characters (and there were a lot of them!) Might be loved by some, but I enjoy books that have more substance. This book was just okay."

"I LOVE this book and recommend it to everyone that asks for a great book to read. I loved every detail to the story and while the size may be daunting for some, it is one of my favorite things about it because I never wanted it to end! It is in my top 3 books of all time and definitely one to read and recommend to everyone you know that loves a great novel!"

"This book sat on my nightstand for months. When I finally began reading it, I couldn't put it down. I was sobbing within the first 10 pages. I love a great book that can evoke so much emotion in its readers. This is definitely a novel that will be with me for a long, long time."

"I loved this book! Once I was able to get past the "this couldn't really happen" aspect in my head, I was able to really delve into this novel and just enjoy it."

"I enjoyed this book as much as "Pillars of the Earth." The only problem I had was that I think I read it too soon after Pillars thinking it was the sequel in the typical sense of being a sequel, in that I didn't want to "forget" anything from Pillars, but really, this is a book that can easily stand on its own. I loved it and definitely recommend it."
