"I enjoy reading books set in Alaska and this one did not disappoint! Alaska Twilight, by Colleen Colbe, is the story of Haley, who returns to Alaska, which for her is a place of danger and of terrible memories. She will need courage and faith to face her past and to overcome what lies ahead. This is a good suspense novel that kept me guessing to the end. Highly recommended."

"I enjoyed The Anonymous Bride by Vickie McDonough. It was a good Western with enough comedy and drama to make it a fun read. Thanks to his "helpful" cousins, three mail order brides have arrived in town to marry Luke, the new Marshall. Luke's heart, however, belongs to Rachel, his old love, who is now a widow. I recommend this book."

"This was such a good book. I like Loree Lough's calm and smooth writing style. It's the story of a young Texas woman on the run from the law because she was unwillingly a part of a deadly bank robbery. She meets up with the most wonderful man who is anxious to help her. Highly recommended!"

"This was such a good book! Beauty for Ashes is the second book in the series about Hickory Ridge by Dorothy Love. It is the story of Carrie, the Civil War widow who has grieved for years over the loss of her beloved young husband. She has finally stopped wearing black and is trying to enjoy life again. Of course, many problems are headed her way. Highly recommended!"

"I liked this book, which is the first of a series. Before the Dawn is the story of grandparents caring for their three grandchildren after the death of their mother. It's a very sad story, but also a story filled with hope. I would recommend this book."

"Belonging by Robin Lee Hatcher is a good, sweet story about the new teacher in a small Idaho town in late 1800's. Highly recommended!"

"I really enjoyed this book of a young woman from Boston serving as a companion to a grumpy, but interesting elderly lady from Hickory Ridge, Tenn. The time period is after the Civil War, so she had controversy with some of the townspeople, especially when she took an interest in a little girl of mixed heritage. I would recommend this book."

"Sweet book of four short stories about sisters who find love as they work at the Biltmore House in the late 1800's. I enjoyed it."
