I loved this book! If you have read any of the other books in her series this one is a must. Not only does it sufficiently wrap up the story-line of Talia, but it also presents problems for the next trilogy. I really like that Lackey does books in a sequence so that there are some correspondences and characters that return and intermingle. It really adds a rich character life to the books.

An interesting spin on the Swan Lake story. I liked the book, but really could have been more drawn into a trilogy. The story had so much more to tell than was told.

I really enjoyed this book! I had read a few of Mercedes Lackey's other books. Specifically "Oathbound" and "Oathbreakers" and this continues on in the same story line. It wasn't until finishing this book, however, that I really got into the rest of her books. I didn't realize how many of her other books really blended one into the other while at the same time being stories in and of themselves. Her books stand alone as well as being part of a larger whole. I really liked it, and I like it even more now that I've read some more of the stories that tie into this one. I'm about to pick it up to read again!

This wasn't her best. Stephanie and her on again off again boyfriend are OFF again and she ends up staying with Ranger....there's no steam, there's not as much jostle back and forth in the relationships. Frankly, the plot left it open to be much more complicated and it just fell flat.

This is one of the best Science Fiction books I have read in a long time...and I'm picky. I loved the plot, the characters, and the context. It is very similar to Serenity and Firefly, but I enjoyed it on it's own. GREAT read!
