"A gruesome crime, told with Rule's customary thorough attention to detail. Some of Capano's statements are so implausible that one cannot imagine how he (an intelligent person) could even utter them. As a reader, I was left with sadness that a bright and likeable young woman would attach herself to such an exploitative, heartless and destructive man."

"This kind of story really makes one wonder about fate. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. For no apparent reason other than crummy luck. The victims in this story still haunt me. A good read, laden with meticulously recorded details of the trial and spiced with photos ."

"This book is a prequel to The DaVinci Code and is superior to that book in its plot and style. An exciting original story that held me in suspense throughout."

"My favorite novel by this hilarious wordsmith. And I'm not just saying so because my stepdaughter is named for the heroine of this wacky tale. So, so, so funny. Buckle up and enjoy the ride through this novelist's inventive, yet familiar, psyche. Recommended!"
