The Daughter's Return (Lost & Found, Bk 2) (Harlequin Superromance, No 1282)
Review Date: 10/6/2007

Also titled The Daughter's Return. Companion book to Somebody's Daughter, by the same author.

Family has located another family's stolen daughter, now searches for their own daughter stolen as infant. Great family and characters. Very satisfying to get all the ends tied up.

A secret that changes everyone's life -- I didn't make it past the first chapter. Too unsettling for me. I prefer feel-good books.

By the creator of "The People." Some of these stories are a bit spooky, but a good read.

Home for Christmas (To Love Again)

Top-notch, feel-good stories of mature romance, i.e., over 50. No duds in this bunch!

Jingle All the Way: A Bright Red Ribbon / Santa Unwrapped / Maybe This Christmas / The 24 Days of Christmas

Modern setting stories, a cut above many other holiday anthologies. You feel good reading them, and they are all worth it.

Worth reading, and rereading.

More or less a commoner/princess switch, but very appealing characters, and nice touch of mystery/suspense, and a some "chuckle moments." I definitely would look for more titles by this author.

Snow White Bride (Fairy-Tale Brides, Bk 4) (Silhouette Romance, No 1808)
Review Date: 10/7/2007

Modern take on the Snow White story, complete with runaway bride, handsome rescuer with seven pint-sized nieces and nephews filling in for the seven dwarfs. Great fun.

Woman who learns she was stolen as an infant tries to identify her birth family, and finds the family she believed might be hers is not, but also had a daughter her age who was stolen by the same criminals.

Companion book (about the other missing daughter) by the same author is variously titled The Daughter's Return, The Daughter Returns, or The Return of the Daughter.

Great fun. Wacky in a nice way. I loved the "talking" cat (actually telepathic). And an offbeat (to say the least) cast of characters.

61-year-old female doctor and her four granddaughters travel from Philadelphia to Los Angeles in a Conestoga wagon. The year is 1957 and Amelia Dale Archer has been passed over because she is a woman.

Quite a story.
