"This is the 3rd book by Kristan Higgins that I've read and I can't wait to read them all (have them all waiting on my Nook)! She is my new favorite author. All I Ever Wanted is my favorite by Ms. Higgins so far. My attention never wandered while reading this book and I laughed so much, it truly was an escape to be in Callie's world. She's totally lovable! Almost as much as her grandfather, Noah, who was my favorite character. He's rough around the edges, which makes him ever more endearing because you (and Callie!) see right through his act. Personally, I love the language and voice in this book. It just made it more real. From Noah to Callie's sister, Hester (who has her own share of issues), these folks became people who I cared about. Callie's parents are hysterical and I LOVED the Tour of Whores. Especially the 85-year old ex-fling of Callie's dad who fell asleep at their dinner. Louis, the undertakeer who works for Callie's mom, was a great addition to the story. I could FEEL his creepiness! :o) I thought it was great that he and Hester, the man-hater, ended up finding each other. I cheered for Callie at the end with her boss/dream man, Mark, and how she handled that. I also love how Ms. Higgins incorporates dogs into her stories. So far, with the 3 I've read, there's also a seriously good cry in each book and that makes her novels well-rounded. I definately recommend this book and all of Kristan Higgins' work! She's FABULOUS!"

"I loved this book. So much so that I'm now onto the second book of this story, Pigs in Heaven by Barbara Kingsolver. This author has a way of writing that can make you go from laughing hysterically to crying your heart out on the same page. The main character, Taylor, is inspiring. Here's this young girl, not much more than a girl herself, who's had an Indian toddler dumped in her lap. She embraces this child and accepts her for all that she is..... with her problems and all. I've just started reading the second book and it's looking like some person is going to attempt to take Turtle (the Indian child) away from Taylor, just because Taylor is not also Indian. I'm panicking already! NoOoOoO....... you can't take Turtle from her momma!!! It would destroy both of them. Ooops.... sorry........ but I gotta get back to my book!!! :o)"

"Castaways was totally enjoyable reading to me. The story revolves around 8 close friends and quickly you feel that you know all eight of them. It was suspenseful, especially in the beginning where there is sad news. The rest of the book is flashbacks to the beginning, which was wonderfully unique. Due to the sad scene, six of the characters all grew into the person who they either really are or were meant to be, by the ending. I'm going to look for the other books by this author now!"

"I found the first part of this book rather fascinating. My grandson is autistic and I could see SOME similarities, which is what made it interesting to me. As the story progressed, though, I found it very repetitious and the main character seemed more like a 4 year-old child than a 15 year-old autistic boy. It was a struggle for me to even finish the book and as one other reviewer put it............. it just wasn't my cup of tea."

"I received this book as a member of the Dorrance Book Review Team. It was an enjoyable story and a fairly quick read (91 pages). Anyone who likes romance novels would probably enjoy this book also. The characters are well-detailed and I think many women in the change-of-life phase could relate with the main character and her friend. Especially women who married young and dedicated their lives to their family, while putting their own dreams and desires on hold."

"This book was great! I laughed throughout the entire story. Caprice Crane is hysterical! Jordan Landau is uniquely...... average. As in.... she's someone we can all relate to. From her creepy cheating boyfriend, to her best friends, to her boss and co-workers, down to her overbearing mother, her easy-going step-dad (and Jordan got her personality from whom?!), to her highly confident sister. And last, but not least, her true love (yay!!!) The unique part is, how many of us would ever fake amnesia? Or at least get away with it! I loved this book and I plan on reading her first novel now, Stupid and Contagious. Great job, Caprice!"

"This is the second of Susan Donovan's books I've read and I loved this one just as much as the first! This author has a wonderful way of writing naturally (as in, nothing seems forced and the characters are real people). There is a lot of action, a lot of personality disorders and it all just makes the characters that much more understandable and people you can relate with. I will be reading all of her books!"

"Loved this book! If you're old enough to remember "Alice" and Mel's Diner, it gave me the feeling of being there and part of their family. All of the characters quirks make them that much more loveable and real. Highly recommended!"

"A comical book for those who live in Florida, visit Florida, have family in Florida and especially for those (of us) who have transplanted ourselves in Florida from the north. Author, Debby Wood, writes a column in the local FL newspaper and always gives me a laugh. Her style is much like Erma Bombeck. The 3-star rating that I gave this book is only due to the fact that the copywrite date is 1980, so her stories sound a little outdated (like no cell phones, e-mail, internet spoken of)."

"I love Andy Rooney and hearing his views of life and the world around us. Most of the book I really enjoyed. The only reason I didn't give this book a 5-star rating is because some of the book I just didn't have any interest in the subject. Overall, very good reading!"

"Billie Letts has such a comfortable way of writing, I felt like I really knew all of the characters in this story. Her "bad guys" are very believeable. And dislikeable! Her "good guys"....... were all very distinct and many of them reminded me of people in particular who I know. She is comical also. One of those books that I couldn't put down!"

"I admit that at the start of this book, I wasn't overly thrilled with it. Maybe it was somewhat due to British slang and terms (which I had to define by context, rather than knowing what it all meant). By mid-way through the book, though, it was hard to put it down. I was worried for George myself, but in a humorous way. I think this author has a great way of writing to capture most readers........ because most of us have had at least some of those crazy thoughts that George has had. George has that kind of Charlie Brown appeal. I'd highly recommend this book."

"A teen novel or for those of us who enjoy going back. This story is about 12 kids from a poor, rural town, who grow up together from 1st grade through high school, and are looking for a way out of Pickley (their hometown). The characters are all very well described, so that the reader feels they knew each one very well. Or at least you feel you know someone just like them!"

"This was an extremely cute book. By cute, I mean it just felt "homey" to me. The author's descriptions were great, I loved her characters and it was easy to reminisce about my own grandparents and the attachment that they felt to their garden...... how it told you a lot about life itself. I highly recommend this novel!"

"While I've loved everything else that I've read by Jennifer Crusie, this story just seemed a little scattered to me. I had a hard time keeping my interest or following with it."
