"This book was a great read. With a blend of mystery, magic, romance and vampires, it was great for the paranormal romance lover. Ms. Feehan has a wonderful way of telling a rich, very intriguing love story!"

"This book was a disappointment. While I thought it was a good story, it was told in more of a didactic, dull way than I would have liked. I try to finish every book I start, and I finished this one, but it took great effort to do so."

"I enjoyed reading this book and finished it up in a weekend. The author's tone is very clear, down to earth and refreshing. I felt that she had observed me personally, her comments were so insightful. As an introvert that is always pressured to be an extrovert, this book really helped me to like myself better and see my personality in a better perspective. Highly recommened reading that is not too long or bogged down."

"I loved the tone of this book. The author writes in the first person, through the eyes of Bella, an average girl who wants to be a vampire. Throw in a few other creatures of the night, one who is in love with Bella, and we've got a wonderful and realistic story! The plot is very believable and the characters are not flat. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!"

"As the title suggests, this book was a little sad. However, the slow pace and somewhat dry storytelling made the "magic" in the book very believable. It didn't keep my interest all the way through and I trudged along determined to finish it. However, the ending was satisfying. And now that I'm done with it, I must say the book was a bit haunting (in a good way). I recommend it."

Raising Your Spirited Child: A Guide for Parents Whose Child Is More Intense, Sensitive, Perceptive, Persistent, Energetic

"I found this book very helpful. My daughter is simply very easy to raise, then along came my son. He is definitely spirited, a term this book begins to describe as soon as you begin reading it. I have picked up so many clear and relevant tips to help me in the challenging task of raising my son. Relatives mean well, but have given poor advice so far and this book helps me to understand why. I will be sharing my highlighted sections with my husband. If your child has any of the qualities mentioned in the title and seems to march to a different drummer, read this book! It may be life-changing for you--- I know it was for me!"

Secrets of the Monarch: What the Dead Can Teach Us About Living a Better Life
Review Date: 5/14/2009

"I don't usually read books about mediums. Neither do I watch tv shows or movies about mediums. Actually, I was taught that the whole business of being a medium is at best a sin and at worst some type of forbidden witchcraft. However, let me just say that I really enjoyed Secrets of the Monarch. Allison (the author) is just like the rest of us except she has an extraordinary gift--- being able to communicate with the dead. Though it may sound creepy and spooky, Allison is able to put you at ease as she explains her gifting and the work she is able to contribute to society because of it. She offered me a fresh perspective towards life in general. And, she imparted peace of mind that, yes in fact, the dead continue to live. This is a light read and I had a good time learning about the author's world."

"I was delighted with this novel. As a fan of shape shifter books, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think the best part about it was, up until now, I hadn't read a book about shape-shifting dragons, so this book was very refreshing. For romance fans, the plot is also very sweet."

"Refreshing view on what happened with the Bakkers years ago. Very honest perspective from a humble young man who seems to really love the Lord."
