America faces a situation similar to that faced by Nehemiah in biblical times. As in Nehemiah's day, we stand amidst the ruins of a demolished wall-the wall of protection for the unborn that, prior to 1973, existed throughout the laws of the land. Achieveing An Abortion-Free America By 2001 provides the blueprint for rebuilding that wall. Abortion will join slavery as a shameful chapter in our nation's past only when God's people make a stand for the unborn in their communities.

Crime and Reconciliation: Creative Options for Victims and Offenders
Review Date: 2/13/2006

Crime And Reconciliation describes the Indiana-based Prisoner and Community Together program (PACT), which advocates the need for victim, offender, and society to be brought together through a holistic system of justice and reconciliation. Under the program, victim and offender come together with a mediator, each attempting to understand and deal with the other as human beings. The process ends when an appropriate form of restitution to both the victim and society is agreed upon. Mark Umbreit sees PACT as a workable alternative to the present tough "law and order" stance of American judicial systems--a stance which results in the overcrowded jails and one of the highest per capita prison populations in the world. The provocative text and thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter make this unique book a valuable resource for individuals and study groups concerned with alternatives to today's criminal justice system.

A man falsely accused of molesting children, and the faith that rescued him from his accusers. The "keys" to God's storehouse of miracles for you! This stimulating book will give you the faith to "move mountains" and declare that today is the time for miracles!

Wonderful true story that shows the true meaning of the word "choice". Gianna doesn't consider herself a "choice" or a "blob of tissue". She's a human being who was almost murdered and is left handicapped because her mother made a wrong choice. Reminds one that in spite of all the dehumanizing language from the so-called "pro-choice" movement the bottom line is that it's a human life they're talking about. I would recommend this book to anyone.

It is written by Kevin Ammons, who has spent a great deal of time with Whitney. He knows that beneath her glamorous image lies a troubled woman who has let success go to her head. Review Date: 2/13/2006

Dr. John Peters returned from military service in World War II with a vow to God to do something to ehlp the poverty-stricken people of Southeast Asia. He did more than keep his promise. Responding to Christ's mandate to love not only God but also to love your neighbor, he founded World Neighbors. Loving God Isn't Enough tells of the adventures of a grass-roots movement, spanning 37 years, that offers a "hand up, not handout" to the people of the Third World. Dr. Peters show how World Neighbors gives the disenfranchised hope and newfound dignity and responsibility. This is a tale of devotion, hard work, and perserverance of both this "Christian Peace Corps" and foreign nations alike.

This book is comprised of practical teaching and training illustrations rather than doctrine and theory. You will be charged with faith and insight to conquer demon forces, walk in personal victory over them, as well as be a liberator of the oppressed. This is so desperately needed in today's world.

Excellent. One of my favorite fiction books of all-time. This book came out when Bill Clinton was in office. I have a feeling the main character was modeled after Bill Clinton. Only in this book the main character becomes a Christian during his presidency and starts to see things in a whole new way. It would have been so wonderful if that had happened in real life when Clinton was in office.

Two professional actors bring their inspirational performances to the page in a one-of-a-kind book. A frightened teenager must tell her father she is pregnant. A married couple gets into a decidedly unholy fight on the way to church. A "good son" struggles when his father welcomes back his wayward older brother. These are just a sampling of the poignant pieces assembled in Random Acts Of Grace. Born out of the touching and powerful performances of Paul and Nicole Johnson--given everywhere from universities to churches to camps to conventions--these tales and parables will inspire new insight and faith. Ranging from gritty, real-life vignettes to imaginative retellings of biblical stories, the Johnsons' sketches appeal to a wide range of ages and walks of life. This married couple believes "drama is the back door to the heart" and seemingly random moments of life contain the fingerprints of God's presence.
