A tense, suspenseful thriller about a psychopathic serial killer in a small Georgia town. Sara Linton, pediatrician and coroner, and her ex-husband, Jeffrey Tolliver, work together to solve the crimes while also working on their relationship.
NSA's invicible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break and one that would cripple U.S. intelligence. Head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, is called in and battles to save the agency and the U.S., as well as her own life and the life of the man she loves.
Jonathon King was a new author for me, but I liked this book and will be looking for more by him. The story kept my interest all the way through. This particular audio book was an abridgement but I will not hesitate to get either a print book or an unabridged version of his work because I think his characters were believable and the story was interesting. A sniper is targeting criminals that he thinks did not pay for their crimes and he is using the newspaper articles written by a crime reporter, who is the central figure of the story, to select his victims.
Deutermann writes a tense, well-plotted story of a retired FBI agent who comes out of retirement, against orders, to search for his missing daughter, thereby exposing political scandal and causing his enemies to send an assassin after him.
This is the 17th book in the slightly futuristic series of Lt. Eve Dallas of the NYPD. Dallas scrambles to find a serial killer whose murders are staged to imitate those of previous famous serial killers.
If you have liked other books of this series, you will like this one.
Special agent of the FBI, Smoky Barrett, is dealing with the loss of her family to a killer when a new serial killer begins to target women, and Smoky in particular. She must face her own demons and catch the killer. It is well written and gives us much insight into Smoky's struggles, both personal and as she trails the killer.
This is the first book by Evan McNamara that I have read but I thought it was very well-written, and the story kept you interested all the way through. I will be watching for more books by Mr. McNamara.
