"A story of greif, despair, guilt, forgiveness and the ripple effects of a single moment of tragedy. I was hooked at the beginning, which is always a good sign to me."

"She was Americas FIRST Supermodel, sex goddess and modern celebrity. She was also the temptress at the center of the "Crime of the Century" ~ the murder of celebrated architect Standford White, shot point-blank before a packed audience in a theatre he had designed. The story of Evelyn Nesbit is one of money, romance, madness and murder. It is Evelyn's story but it also paints a vivid picture of Gilded Age New York and America in the first decades of the 20th Century. LOVED this book. I had a grandmother born in 1906 so it was very revelant to me to be reading about that era. Was a little surprised to find out how very much things have changed, and yet so little."

"This book is SO GOOD and SO SAD because it's ALL TRUE! My heart goes out to Dave Pelzer and ALL that he endured for ALL those years. There is DEFINITELY a God, AND a Devil!"

"This one was hard to put down and I read it in four days, including the birth of my 10th grand child! LOL! Loved it! Very effectively told, smoothly written, it grabs hold of you in the first chapter and doesn't let you go. I like her 'direct' storytelling."

"WOW! WOW! I've always been mystified about those who would risk their lives to go on incredible adventures. Though I don't have that kind of spirit, it's amazing to read about those who do. Great Book!"

"I'm sorry to say that I could not get in to this book. If I'm not HOOKED by the third chapter, I just can't go on. Maybe geared to a younger (20's - 30's audience.)"
