This is a very interesting story. It is the unabridged version on 7 CD's. This is about Dectective Lindsay Boxer and the Women's Murder Club (their 4th story). In a late-night showdown after a near-fatal car chase, San Francisco police lieutenant Lindsay Boxer has to make an instantaneous decision: in self-defense, she fires her weapon - and sets off a chain of events that leaves a police officer disgraced, an entire city divided, and a family destroyed. Now everything she's worked her entire life for hinges on the decision of twelve jurors.
Second book in the Prescott Sisters trilogy. This story is about the third man in the Ready, Willing, and Able series - Hotwire. We met Claire in a previous story and she is a computer geek that also works at a nursing home and is very involved with two of the residents. She runs into Hotwire at her best friend's wedding and through a series of events they end up trying to solve a murder together. Lots of chemistry and excitement which is typical of Lucy Monroe books.
I don't normally like books about evil that can't be explained but I do like Nora Roberts so I started reading this book. I found the characters very interesting so before I realized it I was hooked. Every seven years on the seventh day of the seventh month strange things happen in Hawkins Hollow. Unexplained things change normal people into crazy people doing crazy things then it's over and Hawkins Hollow is back to normal.
This time, things feel different and new people are in town that feel it too. As the characters meet and begin to understand that what is happening to Hawkins Hollow is about them things get interesting.
Good book, keeps you interested. I will be reading the other two books in this series.
The first book in the Callahan Brothers trilogy. This book introduces the moss-draped splendor of Blue Bayou in Louisiana. Danielle Dupree is the daughter of a prominent judge and has been gone from Blue Bayou for several years. Now a widow, she & her son return home. Bad-boy teenage love Jack Callahan is also back which means past secrets must be explored. Great book.
Haven't read this book but somehow I ended up with two copies. Sandra Brown is a good writer (I actually know Sandra Brown as I taught Sunday School in TX with one of her sisters for years) and I am sure this book will be no exception. It is about 5 women missing from a mountain town in NC.
This is the last book in the Prescott Sisters trilogy. Caitlin Prescott was only a baby when her parents disappeared. Adopted by a wealthy Texas oil family, she becomes Kate Montgomery, with no memory of her former family. Now an ambitious young news reporter, Kate realizes she is being stalked. She hires a body guard, Teague Ramos, who connects the deaths of an Austin socialite to unanswered questions about Kate's childhood. Now Kate is on a high-stakes chase that may lead her to the family she has never known - or into the trap of a ruthless killer.
Great book - I couldn't put it down. Air Force captain Joe Greco had stood silently by when photojournalist Brigid Wheeler fell for his best friend, and he lent her comfort when Cooper was killed. Now he was forced to play protector as they embarked on the most dangerous mission of their lives.
The covert operation was a chance for Brigid to avenge Cooper's death, and nothing would stop her from following Joe into the action. In the heat of danger Joe and Brigid finally surrendered to the explosive passion that burned between them. Then they discovered a shattering truth: Cooper was alive...and the ultimate betrayal was still to come.
Carine Winters accepts the job of photographing Sterling Rancourt's historic Boston home. She finds a body in Rancourt's house - and the prime suspect is Tyler North's (her former fiance')best friend. Carine is at the center of a deadly game and the only person she can trust is Tyler but they are running out of time - because a killer has followed them to Cold Ridge - a killer who has put a murderous plan in motion, with stakes higher than anyone can imagine.
This is Drake's story. Drake is stranded in Columbia after a mission and sent to rescue and bring to Washington Madeline who has been working for a crime lord. She has a mind of her own and is determined she will be better off not going to Washington. Another good story by Dee Davis.
This is the last book in the Devaney brothers series. This is about one of the twins, Daniel and his former flame, Molly. This book finally answers the question on why their parents gave up the older three boys and kept the twins.
Michael "River" Corbett has been confined in the state mental hospital and heavily drugged since the death of his wife. River cannot remember the events of that night. Cassandra "Jax" Jackson is a police lieutenant who is putting her career on the line when she encounters this desperate stranger and doesn't turn him in. Something in River's eyes has Jax convinced he's worth saving - whether he wants it or not.
This is the second book in the Eclipse Bay trilogy. Lillian Harte and Gabe Madison are at each other's throat. Gabe had insisted on becoming a client of Lillian's matchmaking service.
