Very interesting. Actually, it gets better as you go along--the first bit is kind of preachy.

Weird book. The title character, Artemis Fowl, is not developed as much as some of the "lesser" characters. Full of fairies and trolls and things like that, so it's a weird genre.

These books are great. Try to read them in order.

This book was a disappointment to me. It read more like one of those "true crime" books that appear in Walmart shortly after some horrible crime is committed. It did not keep my interest, so just skimmed through the last half. If I hadn't been stranded on a plane, I would have set it aside and picked up something else.

Tales from the Teachers' Lounge: What I Learned in School the Second Time Around-One Man's Irreverent Look at Being a Teacher Today
Review Date: 10/24/2009

This book has great potential, but it is just in too poor taste for my liking. Both I and my wife are teachers, so we can identify with this type of story "from the teachers' lounge," but it's possible to write humor without being so potty-mouth about it. I'm sure a lot of people would like it.
