I'm not usually one for romance novels but this one was fun and just quirky enough that I had a lot of trouble putting it down once I picked it up!

It's cute, it's breezy, it's funny - it just not the Janet we now have come to know and love.
I think, however, that I'm probably holding the earlier Janet (this book is a re-release of one of her eary, pre-Plum books) to a too-high standard. If it was not an Evanovich, I wouldn't feel like the edge was missing.
Griping aside - an amusing beach read.

This is an early effort by Janet Evanovich now reprinted. This is a cute romance set in Colonial Williamburg in contemporary times.

Evanovich should stick to Stephanie Plum.

Megan Murphy, a potter who works part-time as a weekend aide in Colonial Williamsburg, and Patrick Hunter, a newly minted doctor who's taken over a pediatrician's practice there. They meet as a result of a rabbit attack and have to deal with one another because of a temporarily abandoned baby. There's instant... chemistry between them that they both immediately (but not very successfully) try to tone down, and the mixed joy of pretend parenthood as they both try to take care of the baby.
Fun story

not as funny as her other books.

I love the Stephanie Plum books but am not as crazy about her first novels. This is one of them. You do still get the feeling of good things to come, though.
In this one, Megan Murphy moves to Williamsburg, Va after she is left at the altar. She meets - a rabbit, who manages to eat part of her costume. The owner retrieves the rabbit; the rabbit returns; Megan returns rabbit. Then a baby is left with the rabbit's owner, a pediatrician new to town. Megan is mistaken for the doctor's wife and gets roped into helping take care of the child until the mother returns. The rest, of course, is history.

When a fiery redhead discovers a floppy-eared rabbit gnawing on the hem of her shirt, she means to give its careless owner a pice of her mind---but the owner is too attractive to stay mad at for long.

I love Janet Evanovich. I am embarassed to say that I even love her romance books, and have waited in line hours to get her autograph. I really wanted to like this book. It was BAD. Not at all funny. Not at all interesting. Dull characters. Blech

Cute story. Janet Evanovich has a knack for inserting romance into comedy. Or is it comedy into romance? Either way, her stories are incredibly entertaining! This is a re-release of a book that was originally published under the Loveswept line. A fun read.
very thin plot. Far from the Plum series and the best work of the author.
Quick read; a pre-Plum romance set in modern-day Colonial Williamsburg.

Like most of Janet Evanovich's stuff, this is a fun little read.
This book was originally published in 1988. It's cheesy and lacks emotional development and believability.
this is so cute and a very fast read.. this is the 2nd evanovich book i've read..
i want to go to colonial williamsburg too!

A fun read about a doctor fresh out of med school with a wonderful sense of humor and an aspiring artist who'd been dumped at the alter living and meeting in Colonial Williamsburg. Made me want to visit Colonial Williamsburg again and look for the little fat bunny.
This is another great quick read from Evanovich...perfect for a rainy afternoon!

Fun as all of Janet E's books are - an easy, quick read. This is NOT a Stephanie Plum book
A new pediatrician and a determined-to-stay-single woman meet in the park when the good doctor's rabbit is caught chewing on the lady's skirt. Then a single mother leaves her with the doctor to take care of for 2 weeks without giving a reason. It is the Thanksgiving season and betweene the baby and the doctor's family and the lady's family things become quite involved. A nice easy read with a feel good ending!
I did nor read it. Never will.(gift)
