beautifully written, with very explicit detail. perhaps sometimes too intricately detailed, but a dream of a story.

I could not get into this book. After 100 pages, I didn't care about any of the characters, and there seemed to be nothing driving the plot - just one thing happening after another for no apparent reason.

So you wanna read some Rushdie, but maybe the Satanic Versus is a little too much... He brings his usual style and flair to a story which proves that if you really want to know what's going on, you have to start at the beginning.

Very dense, humorous, and interesting.
