The last sentence of "Home the Hard Way" is, "It was a story that wasn't near as funny the first time he explained it to the insurance adjuster."
Now, aren't you tempted? if you don't know Baxter Black's writing, let this book be your introduction. If you're old friends, then your collection is not complete without this book. Touching andlaugh-out-loud funny ... often in the same sentence.
Great read! Lots of humor and common sense. Even if you're not a cowboy, this book would be fun!

Baxter Black writes absolutely hilarious, and at the same time gently endearing, prose and poetry. He is NPR's "cowboy poet." This is one of his best!
