"Pooh, promise you won't forget about me, ever. Not even when I'm a hundred." Pooh thought for a little. "How old shall I be then?" "Ninety-nine." Pooh nodded. "I promise," he said.

this is the first in the A.A. Milne's classic quartet:
winnie-the-Pooh
The House at Pooh Corner
When We Were Young
Now we are Six

More than sixty Years ago, readers were first introduced to Edward Bear Better known as Winnie The Pooh and his beloved companions. Whether Pooh goes hunting with piglet, celebrates Eeyore's birthday, or accompanies Christopher Robin and the others on an "Expotition" to the North Pole, he continues to captivate children as he has for generations.

A.A. milne wrote this book for his only son, Christopher Robin, and it is perfectly matched by Ernest H. Shepard's classic illustrations. Winnie the pooh brings a very special corner of childhood to life.

I read the Pooh books for my children's literature class and found myself surprised by how much I liked them. They're witty and have bits of humor in there for the adult as well. They're worth a read, even if you don't have kids. Besides, it's fun to go back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh.

Milne's classic. Every child should read it or have it read to them. Adults like it too...makes a sweet gift.

since 1926, generations of children have adored A.A. Milne's stories. The House at Pooh Corner is a very special place-because imagination lives there.
