This is the second book I've read in the Plum series, and already I found them predictable. Stephanie, although funny, is really a klutz when it comes to being a bounty hunter. Book is good for comic relief...however, this one wasn't as funny as # 9, and it had in a lot more expletives.

Stephanie Plum is always entertaining, but this one was a bit of a disappointment for me. Stephanie is the target in this book so she decides to hide out at Rangers. My problem with it was she does so many stupid things, she's asking to get killed. Her character has always been a bit ditzy but not brainless. Still, it has it's funny moments and readers should still give it a chance.

Another in the Stephanie Plum series. A great hardback in excellent condition.
This one isn't "who is Stephanie after" so much as it is "who is after Stephanie". She manages to have a gang after her while she tries to pick up rather tame FTAs. I was a little disappointed with this installment. It was still good, but it was a little darker than usual. We expect danger and whatnot from a Plum novel, but I know I also expect to chuckle out loud a time or two. That didn't really happen this time. I even found Ranger annoying in this one. I'm getting tired of his response to EVERYTHING being "babe". It's just getting old for me. It was nice to see Sally the crossdresser again though. I just enjoy the character, what can I say? Overall, not my favorite Plum novel, but still entertaining enough to keep me interested in the series.
funny, hilarous, always a treat to read her stuff.

Awesome - they are just getting better and better!
This is the funniest book I've read in a while. It's a quick read and very enjoyable, with all the familiar characters. I highly recommend it.
Plum, girl bounty hunter, the terror of Trenton, the bane of her boyfriend Joe Morelli's existence, and the delight of her crazy grandma's heart, is in the wrong place at the wrong time--as usual. Just happening to be indulging her nachos jones at a local deli when it's robbed by the notorious Red Devils, Plum is the eye witness who could put the gang leader, known as the Junkman, behind bars... if he just lets her live long enough. Looking for a place to hide out from the killer until the cops catch up with him, Stephanie sneaks into her fellow bounty hunter Ranger's apartment without telling Morelli, who's not overly fond of him. All the usual suspects in this long-running series are along for a wilder than ever ride, including Lula the gun-toting ex-hooker, Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's pregnant sister Valerie and her fiancé, as well as a host of minor characters who bring Trenton's seedier environs to life.

Probably my favorite so far. Stephanie finally finds the bat cave...or does she? Stephanie is hiding from an L.A. hitman hired to kill her. Plenty of Lulu, Morelli and Ranger.
Stephanie Plum and her partner, Lula, are clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. A robbery leads to an explosion, and the two of them become involved. This is suspenseful as they are racing against the clock.

Stephanie is blowing up cars again, in record numbers. Of course, it's not her fault-she's just in the wrong place at the wrong time. She can't help it the killer called the Junkman is after her. Sometime partner Lula is riding shotgun, and Grandma Mazur is on the loose. Stephanie must find a safe place to hide, but how safe can it be at Ranger's?
Another excellent novel by Janet Evanovich! What a great series!

"She's accidently destroyed a dozen cars. She's a target for every psycho and miscreant this side of the Jersey Turnpike. Her mother's convinced she'll end up dead....or worse, without a man. She's Stephanie Plum, and she kicks butt for a living (well, she thinks it sounds good to put it that way...)" This series is a lot of fun!! I can't wait to read the next one.

You just can't get enough of Stephanie Plum. But I definitely recommend starting with One for the Money and working your way up. If you start in the middle of the series, you may not understand the characters as well.

This book was a huge improvement over books 8 & 9 just don't ask me how I came to that conclusion ;) Might it be I'm just in a better mood? Highly unlikely but I can't come up with anything else. Stephanie Plum is still up to her old tricks. She's living with Joe Morelli (for at least part of the book), lusting after Ranger, hanging with Lula (who never fails to make me laugh ~ especially when C.J. Critt is voicing her character) and getting into some major trouble quite by accident -- this time with a local gang who puts a hit on her head. This book made me smile quite often and for that it gets a recommendation ;)
