I really like this book! I fell in love with the main character, Claudia she is so real and dramatic. This book is about a "perfect" marriage until one partner decided they want a baby after they had both decided they were never going to have children. The characters are very memorable and likeable!

Ben and Claudia quickly knew they were soulmates - they could talk for hours, enjoyed each other's jokes and company, and, oh yes, neither one ever wanted children. A match made in heaven until one mind is changed about that baby thing...

Really a very nice study of love, of sacrifice, and of family. I'd recommend it to anyone, even if they typically do not care for chick lit.

I was a little disappointed at first because I thought it was a continuation of "Something Borrowed" and "Something Blue". But, once I got over that initial disappointment, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Another great read from Emily Giffin.

Boring. I liked her first two books but this one did nothing for me. I could not relate to or like any of the characters. Claudia got on my nerves and I was not even rooting for her near the end! That is a sign of poor character development.

I recently read Giffin's other books and I think I enjoyed this one the most. I read it in just a few days. I agree that it is great, even for people who don't typically like chick lit.

I loved her first two books--I didn't enjoy this one as much, probably because I didn't feel the same connection to this couple as in her other books.

Meh. Another Candace Bushnell-type novel. This one's about Claudia, a career- and self-absorbed New Yorker, name-dropping the trendy NYC restaurants and shoe brands. Claudia's sisters and best friend were more interesting than her and their subplots were what kept me reading the book. And the Hollywood movie ending seemed unrealistic.

Claudia and Ben are the perfect couple. Successful and happily married they have decided that they don't wish to have children. Things go awry when one of this happy twosome realizes that maybe they do want children after all.

What happens to a couple who make a commitment to each other and one has a change of heart makes for an interesting look at the changes we are and aren't willing to make for love. Without getting to sentimental or strident on either side of the question Giffen presents a funny, poignant and believable look at what makes us choose our paths, and how we rationalize our choices.

All she did was whine about how she didnt want a baby. Disappointing!

This book is so self-centered. I thought it was ridiculous. I loved the first two books by this author but I thought this book was idiotic and a waste of time. The main character doesn't want kids and she finds a man who doesn't want kids. They marry, he changes his mind and asks her to reconsider and she doesn't. So, she divorces him. I found the plot to be ridiculous and unbelievable and the main character to be whiney and sniveling.

I don't recommend this book to anyone who thinks all women should want children. I've noticed some people think the character is "selfish" and "self-absorbed" and other negative terms. She's merely a career-oriented woman who has goals other than reproducing. I really liked the character.

While I enjoyed the story, I hated the ending. It was awful and pretty much ruined the book.

While I enjoyed Something Borrowed and Something Blue, this book just falls a little short, considering the weighty subject matter it attempts to handle. I think the journey the main character makes through the book, while necessary, is predictable with an anti-climactic, somewhat circular ending that minimizes the emotional growth you would expect of the characters after what they've been through.

In the tradition of Something Borrowed and Something Blue, I do think it would be interesting to see this story from Ben's side of the equation, now that we've accompanied Claudia on her rollercoaster ride.

This book is a really cute story, light but serious at the same time. It makes you think about relationships and how they can be complicated, but still work.

I recommend taking some time off between something borrowed & something blue before jumping into this book. This is another good book, but a completely different story line.

This book hit home with me. This is a story about someone who thinks she knows what she wants in life, along with the man she marries, but then love can take a different turn. Before it's too late, we have to go after what really counts in life and this book told the perfect story.

Emily Giffin has an amazing talent of writing a story that you can completely lose yourself in. I could not put this book down, I had to find out what was going to happen between Claudia and Ben. Her character insights are so true of people today and you find yourself questioning the moves and motives of every person in your life too. I absolutely loved this book!

I didn't like the fact that the ending was kind of left up in the air. But overall, it was an okay book.

Excellent book. I'd read all sorts of 'positives' about her first two books "Something Borrowed" and "Something Blue". Wanting something different to read, I saw this on the new books shelf at a favorite retail store, I purchased and 'devoured/read' it. It was a book I enjoyed; NOW I will be looking forward to reading this author's first two book, in the future, more than ever.

Fast read. Story very much like Giffin's previous books. Predictible story but still can't put it down. Nice romantic story.

This is the last in a 3 book series: Something Borrow, Something Blue, and Baby Proof. This is a heart felt novel about a couple who have a sudden change of heart. The couple originally decided the didn't want children and then one changed their mind.

Cute book. I didn't like it as much as "something borrowed" or "something blue" but it was ok. I felt the story line was a little dragged out and kind of predictable but still a charming read. I enjoy this authors work and it most certainly fits in with her writings, you can tell it is one of hers. Enjoy!

This was another good book from Giffin, it took me a long time to read, i am not sure why as I read fast and it seemed to be a fast paced book..who knows! In any case the ending was somewhat foreseen, but still great!

I loved, loved, loved Ms. Giffin's other books, Something Borrowed and Something Blue. This book, however, did not live up to the expectations I had. It was good, seeing a view that some women may deal with balancing careers and family.

This is a quick read that will leave you wanting a sequel. The story seems so real and relatable. I laughed, cried, cheered, and sypathized with the characters.

This book was great! Such a nice love story times 4 or 5. I loved all the characters. Claudia was great and her ment to be hubby Ben was cute. She has 2 sisters with their own happy and sad stories and a best friend headed down the wrong path. There is so many twist and turns, you just cant wait to pick the book up to continue reading each day. I found my self reading while waiting for the pasta water to boil.lol... enjoy

I really enjoyed this book. I recently "found" this author and have read all 4 of her books that I could find. It took me a while, but I figured out it's because none of her characters are perfect. Everyone has a flaw - just like real people. The story is sad in parts, funny in parts and you really find yourself rooting for all the characters in this book.

light, fast read. Good storyline. Characters believable but not very deeply developed. Overall I would recommend if you want something not too heavy.

From the author of the smash hits Something Borrowed and Something Blue comes a novel that explores the question: is there ever a deal-breaker when it comes to true love?
First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes . . . a baby carriage? Isn’t that what all women want?

Not so for Claudia Parr. And just as she gives up on finding a man who feels the same way, she meets warm, wonderful Ben. Things seem too good to be true when they fall in love and agree to buck tradition with a satisfying, child-free marriage. Then the unexpected occurs: one of them has a change of heart. One of them wants children after all.

This is the witty, heartfelt story about what happens to the perfect couple when they suddenly want different things. It’s about feeling that your life is set and then realizing that nothing is as you thought it was--and that there is no possible compromise. It’s about deciding what is most important in life, and taking chances to get it. But most of all, it’s about the things we will do--and won’t do--for love.

i liked this book a lot, it was a good story, and one that i could relate to, as my husband and i both made the decision not to have children, so a lot of this story hits very close to home for me. I did like something borrowed and something blue more, but this book is still a great read.

I wasn't as crazy about this book as I'd hoped. I liked her first two books a lot, but this one seemed less in her style. I ended up not caring about the characters that much. It was a fairly easy read but not the usual sort of chick lit I was expecting.

I read this at the beach and on the plane ride home. It's a light, fairly predictable read, but the characters were likeable and interesting enough to propel the reader through the story. The topic interested me as well, as it deals with one woman's struggle with the decision of whether or not to have children. I liked it enough to want to read more of this author's work. (And enjoyed Something Borrowed, but can't get into Something Blue.)

i first of was very disapointed that is was not a continuation of the two previous books and second of all just get over it. i'm sorry but do you really need to whine for an entire book about how your husband changed thing on you and no wants a child. come on! i read it all in a couple of days but was very disapointed in the over all book. definately not a favorite and does not compare to the previous two. two thumbs down
