I loved every minute of this gem. Lula and Stephanie find that a mystery woman is stalking Stephanie with intent to kill. She claims she is Ranger's wife, and Ranger is mysteriously unreachable. The Hilarity volume rises as the new owners of the town funeral parlor are introduced to Grandma Mazur. I was wary that Janet Evanovich might be running out of material and situations to write about, but she cooked up a goodie in this one!

So glad to be back with Stephanie Plum again. This book is definitely worthy of the franchise and if you want to hang with Stephanie again, this is the way to do it! We learn more about Ranger in the process.

All fluff. A three evening read. Always enjoyable. Everytime I think this will be the last one, Evanovich must be out of ideas for Stephanie. Twelve Sharp was still the same book as the others, yet different enough that I didn't say "Bah!" and put it down.

Twelve Sharp is yet another laugh outloud book by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie Plum (bounty hunter from New Jersey) tries to bring back her cousin Vinnie's bonds while she's looking for Ranger who seems to have disappeared. If you've read the previous 11 books in the series don't miss this one as it has lots of funny episodes with her partner Lula and her wacky family.

The latest in the Plum series. It's getting repetitive now but it still a great rollicking series that I can't wait for the next chapter.

Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter. While chasing down the usual criminals she discovers shes being stalked by a crazy woman. Somebody dies, and Stephanie goes from chasing skips to hunting a murderer. She is joined by Ranger. They have to find a murderer and rescue a missing girl.

HARDCOVER. From Publishers Weekly: "The mixture of slapstick and gunplay that has put Evanovich's series about a sassy, less than competent New Jersey bounty hunter at the top of bestseller lists once again works its magic in Stephanie Plum's latest caper (after 2005's Eleven on Top). Stephanie, who freely admits her failings as a hunter of fugitives, faces a growing work backlog that threatens the continued existence of her job. Her clumsy efforts to clear some cases, along with the help of her outrageous colleague, Lula, result only in their adding another sad sack to the office payroll—a forlorn shoe salesman who's talked off a ledge by Stephanie's offer of a position as file clerk. Stephanie's ambivalence toward the two men in her life becomes harder to maintain when one of them, the mysterious Ranger, is accused of kidnapping his own daughter. Countless over-the-top scenes, including one at a funeral parlor, will delight longtime fans."

When a Ranger wannabe kidnaps Ranger's daughter, Stephanie Plum is drawn into the search. Believe it or not, she manages to get through the entire book without having her car blown up, burned up, stolen, or otherwise destroyed. Must be a first!

This is by far my favorite book of the series so far. Finally we get to focus in on the life of Ranger (somewhat) and learn a little about him. Twelve Sharp had all of the action, drama and laughs that keep me reading Janet Evanovich's Plum series. Great read!

Julie S. (julesjergen) reviewed on 4/6/2009...

Stephanie is back at it. Trouble always seems to find this girl and antics ensue. Santa Claus, toy making elves and a struggling rock band make this one of the funniest of the Plum stories yet!

The Barnes & Noble Review

The 12th installment of Janet Evanovich's wildly popular mystery saga featuring the feisty and ever-endearing lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter Stephanie Plum pits the New Jersey bond enforcement agent against her most formidable foe yet: a completely deranged psycho obsessed with one of Plum's two longtime love interests.

Twelve Sharp begins with Plum faced with the usual unsavory duties of a bounty hunter -- tracking down a bevy of criminals who have skipped out on their bail. Targets on her "skip" list include the aptly named Melvin Pickle, a self-proclaimed pervert who is eerily reminiscent of Pee-wee Herman; Mary Lee Truk, a menopausal housewife who stabbed her husband where the sun don't shine; and Caroline Scarzolli, a 72-year-old porn peddler. But Plum's hunt for wayward criminals is rudely interrupted by a crazed, gun-toting woman claiming to be the wife of Ricardo "Ranger" Manoso, the tall, dark, and handsome Cuban-American bounty hunter who, along with Trenton cop Joseph Morelli, make up Plum's love triangle -- one as steamy as it is dysfunctional. After Ranger's alleged wife turns up dead and his estranged daughter is kidnapped, Plum discovers that someone has stolen Ranger's identity and is slowly and systematically taking over his life. Next on the unhinged impostor's list is Ranger's hot girlfriend -- Plum herself.

This books flewwwwwww by - seemed a bit too short but had the usual light-hearted sections and hardcore danger. The big crime in this book revolves around Ranger again, so this causes tension for Stephanie's relationship with Morreli as she investigates stuff out of her area of expertise and involving his competition. Less annoying Bob the dog in this book, but plenty of Grandma Mazur and Lulu.
