This is a collection of stories about the memorable dogs Herriot treated during his career. Some are funny and some are heartbreaking, but Herriot is a terrific writer and you can't help but get emotionally involed.

Warm like the TV series of the last century. Just simply nice to read.
this has some very touching stories in it. Makes you laugh make you cry makes you say he is talking about my dog. Great stories
All of James Herriot's experiences with dogs throughout his veterinary career. Most of the stories in this book are pulled from his other books in the "All Creatures" series. There are three stories that are not seen elsewhere. As always, Herriot's experiences as a country vet are sentimental and touching. Some will have you laughing... others crying. I especially like this collection of dog stories and I think any other dog lover would too!
