Divorced Mother of 3, makes a deal with a wealthy good-looking politician to pretend to be his girlfriend until after the primary election. Has some very funny sections, and some warm steamy love scenes. Reminds you of the movie "Pretty Woman"

Very fast-paced romantic story. I felt that the plot was different enough to keep me interested and predictable enough that it read like a typical romance novel. The characters are very likable and people that you can relate to. A few times I even saw my own life or my family's lives reflected in scenes and attributes of the characters. Susan Donovan has a unique voice - I can't wait to read more of her!

Light hearted fantasy for the newly divorced Mom of 3- she said she'd be a kept woman. Here is how it plays out in a political campaign in Indiana.

this had to be one of the cutest love stories I've read in a while. a few twists and turns kept it interesting and the naughty scenes were nice, too. All in all, a really fun read.

This is a quick read page turner! I literally read it in two days because it was so good! It was fun and entertaining, yet romantic.
Jack is bad boy turned Romantic, while Samantha isnt needing saving, but definitely needing someone to put her first for once.

A beautician with three children in need of money meets a bad-boy politician in need of a wife. A business deal turns sexy. Everyone is trying to bring them down, but their love life continues to heat up.

Susan Donovan has a gift when it comes to writing stories that include kids. The child characters are an absolute riot and you really fall in love with both main characters. I love this book!
A very good book I could not put it down.
Witty, fun, and laugh out loud funny. I was disappointed when the book was done!!!!
Every single mom should read this book, if not just for the distraction from our crazy lives, but for the hope and excitement you experience while ready the tale of, The Kept Woman.
Fun read...upbeat romantic and finished in 2 nights! Definitely kept my attention...filled with sexy scenes and humor!

A good read. Samantha has her hands full raising three children on her own, so she agrees to be a "paid" wife and family for a politician to help him get elected in exchange for living the high life.
This is probably one of Susan Donavan's best so far. It's a laugh out loud, sexy extremely fun read. I'm really looking forward to her next book.
Very engaging with likeable characters - Susan Donovan rocks!

Susan Donovan has great humor once again in this light-hearted romance. The ending was a little too "pat" for me, but over-all a cute story.

I read this book in one day! Susan Donovan is a terrific writer. This is a romance novel with a humorous, realistic edge. Some of the thoughts going through the main character's head are ones I've had myself! This book is a current big seller in Barnes and Noble and for good reason.
Finally, the latest book by one of my favorite authors and it is super. It deals with many very human issues facing a 30 something divorced woman with three kids who has a fairy tale, fake engagement to a "Never Committ" wealthy politician, who needs to "soften" his bad boy image before an election.

I didn't like this book nearly as much as Susan Donovan's other books. The heroine, Sam, had an ex-husband who was SUCH a creep that it was difficult to understand why she had stayed with him for years, especially since she was portrayed as being smart and hard-working and willing to stand up for herself. Sam's best friend Monte seemed like a caricature of "sassy black woman". Jack, the hero, was all right, and the kids were good. Donovan's trademark sizzling sex scenes were definitely present--a little too much for my taste, but I know many people like them.
