The books written by Evanovich & Hughes are just not as good as the ones written by only Evanovich. They are ok, but the characters are not as interesting and there's not much humor. If you like the Stephanie Plum series you will probably be disapointed.

This wasn't as good as the regular Stephanie Plum series with the numbers but as close as you can get to one of those books. The co-author must be good and kept the story on track least J.E. wander off to romance and sex too much....more focused on the plot which I liked better than some just J.E. books.

Another frolicsome tale from the author of the Stephanie Plum novels. Good fun!
From back cover:
Get ready to have the hottest time of your life with the sizzling duo of newspaper editor Jamie Swift and mysterious millionaire Max Holt. My good friend Charlotte Hughes and I set out to create a whole new world, separate from my Stephanie Plum novels, yet inhabited by the same kind of zany, hilarious, and totally unique characters that we love.
There's never a dull moment for the residents of Beaumont, South Carolina. Lately, a heat wave's spiked the mercury-- and everyone's sex drive! These days, when Jamie runs into Max, it's all she can do not to tear his clothes off-- and the feeling is mutual.
But trouble seems to follow Max like moths to a flame, and Jamie suspects he's all wrong for her. Meanwhile, the lingerie shop is having a sale on edible underwear, while the bakery's selling aphrodisiac-laced brownies and X-rated birthday cakes. Even Jamie's dog, Fleas, is dodging passes from the amorous French poodle next door!
But when someone starts bumping off some of the town's more annoying citizens, all clues lead straight to the new personals section in Jamie's newspaper. Pretty soon, things are getting hot and heavy, as Max and Jamie start uncovering secrets-- and undressing each other...
So settle in with a tall cool drink, and have fun with FULL BLAST. We'll be back soon, with another steamy romantic adventure featuring Jamie and Max. Happy reading!

This wasn't one of Evanovich's best efforts. I couldn't get into the plot nor any of the characters. This is highly unusual, as an Evanovich book normally gets consumned in a day.

I enjoy Janet Evanovich's books on Stephanie Plum and thougth I'd try out this new series. It was very entertaning. I was amused by the conversations with Max's computer named Muffin as I just finished reading Donna Andrews books about her computer with personality, Turing Hopper. Wonder who came first?

4th in a great series
Like all of Janet Evanovich's books, they are fun interesting story
lines. A steamy romantic adventure. Jamie, a newspaper editor in Beaumont, South Carolina & her silent partner, Max Holt, a wealthy & very sexy man, don't want to get involved with each other, but they find that not going to be easy to do. They cannot keep away from each other especially when someone starts bumping off some of the town's more annoying citizens, all clues lead straight to the new personals section in Jamie's newspaper. Pretty soon things are getting hot & heavy, as Max and Jamie start uncovering secrets...and undressing each other.
I am a huge fan of the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich, so I had high hopes for the Full series. Unfortunately, the books have not lived up to my expectations. I couldn't even finish this one.

Jamie Swift is a small town newspaper editor, also known as Swifty by multi-millionaire Mac Holt, who is a silent partner in the paper. Jamie has started a new personals section in the newspaper. But, when a local lingerie shop owner is killed after having a grand opening, and one of her personals is found circled in her office things become tense for Jamie and she calls Max for help. (This is the 3rd book the 2 have teamed up in). There are more killings that also seem to link back to the personals section. Max and Jamie go undercover along with a "clairvoyant" named Destiny to see if they can ferret out who the killer is. So Jamie and Destiny date the different men, compare notes with Max and his computer "muffin" at the same time as Max and Jamie continue to fight their desires for each other. At one point Jamie who has frequented the new lingerie shop is very "tipsy" and decided to show Max, at his B&B room, her new lingerie and at the same time that she does the door opens to the owner of the B&B, making Jamie the talk of the town.

The latest in the adventures of Jamie and Max
I found this book very repetitive of other elements in her Stephanie Plum detective series. Had the usual annoying/junk food prone dog, crazy older lady with gun and hot cars, heroine with doughnut fetish/recently acquired dog/hunky rich boyfriend, violent crime/deaths. Was not impressed with this book, took several days to get into it, hoping it would improve. May have enjoyed the book more if I had not read many of her other books and already seen this same story line.
