Book Reviews of Hanna's Daughters

Beautifully written book chronicling the lives of three women, beginning in the 19th century Sweden. First the grandmother, then the daughter, then the grandaughter. Each section is in the voice of the woman telling the story, some in first person, some in third. The story itself was touching and emotional.

This was a book club choice. I thought it was an interesting look at relationships and struggles of a hard life. Personally, I found it to be a slow moving story.

Wonderful story of several generations of a Scandinavian family. All very different women whose stories really draw you in.

100 years of Scandinavian history. One thing that always amazes me about books like this is how much can change in the world from the time a grandmother is born til her grandchild is born.

Good mother/daughter story that covers a lot of the angst involved.

Started off slow, then got interesting, then slowed down again.

a difficult read but once you get thru it you will be glad you did.

It starts a bit slow but if you keep reading it gets better and the closer you get to finishing it, you don't want it to end. Overall it was an okay book, a book I'm glad I read but probably won't read again and again.

Loved this book! Lots of interesting cultural information and was just a good book about 3 generations of Norweigan women.

I read it but don't really remember it.
