Very moving. I have to admit, there was a lump in my throat. And that does not happen very often.

I was shocked and amazed that any book was able to enchant me the way Between Sisters did from the first moment I opened the book.

While I don't have a sister with which to compare this story to, I had lived through a similar experience with my oldest brother. It pains me that we can't get over our past, but my present and future are much brighter without his shadow to overcast upon it.

Even though the book was somewhat predictable, the way it was told made it even more poignant. Not every piece of the puzzle was formed until the end, and I loved how Hannah wove it together. This was my first read by this author, and it won't be my last.

This was one of the best books that I have ever read. I did not want to put it down when I started reading it.

One of the best reads of all times. This is a story about 2 sisters who lose each other and find their way back to being family. A very touching story about these sisters and others that surround them.

Have tissues ready. Had me laughing and crying a couple of times. I enjoy Kristien Hannah because she weaves a very human story and being human, I can relate.

Absolutely amazing read. Just when I thought it was getting predictable I was thrown thru a loop. This was the first book I read by Kristin Hannah but it won't be the last.

An easy summer read. But with enough story-line and engaging characters to keep the pages turning....it's easy to understand the relationship between the sisters--even though they are so different. I have a sister, and it's not often that an author gets the nuances so right in the way two people relate to one another....Hannah does here. These two women are struggling as adults to find the innocence in their relationship that they once had--before it's too late. It made me want to call my sis' right up...

Great book! Meghann became a mother to her little sister Clair when their single mother went off to star in a space series. When Meghann was at her wits end as to what to do, she contacted Clair's father (who didn't even know he had a daughter) and left Clair with him to go off on her own at 16. Meghann eventually becomes a successful divorce lawyer and Clair helps her father run a river resort camp. Neither is close until tragidy comes into their lives. I have read a lot of tear jerkers but this book brought on a flood of tears.

Meghann Dontess is haunted by heartbreak. Twenty-seven years ago she was forced to make a terrible choice, one that cost her everything, including the love of her sister, Claire. Now, Meghann is a hotshot divorce attorney who doesn't believe in intimacy - until she meets the one man who can change her mind.

Claire Cavenaugh has fallen in love for the first time in her life. As her wedding day approaches, she prepared to face her harsh, judgemental older sister. It is the first time they have been together in more than two decades. Over the course of a hot Pacific Northwest summer, these two women who believe they have nothing in common will try to become what they never were: a family.

This book was picked by CBS's The Early show as one of the Best Books of the Summer. Two sisters who have been estranged for twenty years come together at the younger sister's wedding and try to become a family.A very good read especially if you are lucky enough to have a sister yourself.

No one knows you like your sister. She can make you laugh or break your heart with a single word. And no one writes novels like Kristin Hannah, an author who vividly explores the intricate bonds of family and, as Tami Hoag said “touches the deepest, most tender corners of our heart.” Now, in her rich, captivating new book, she creates an indelible portrait of two women, once lost to each other, about to come together in a time of exquisite joy and almost unbearable sadness. Sisters by blood, strangers by choice, each stands at a crossroads, ready to confront the betrayals of the past. . . .
