A history based thriller, very thought-provoking about the mysteries of the Russian royal Romanov family who were supposedly executed by the Bolsheviks. Their mass grave was uncovered in the 1980's and it was revealed that, just like rumor had suggested , the remains of the bodies of Alexi and Anatasia were not there. What was their fate?

This has an impressive plot and has a lot of historic details although it is a fiction. It's a good read.

A historical mystery, what if Anastasia survived the massacre of the Romanov family? in the style of John Grisham (attorney's solving mysteries and facing hit men) and Dan Brown (alternative history)

Ho Boy, what a plot. Berry out Dan Browns Dan Brown with the Romanov assassinations in 1918. A Great read, especially if you have studied, either formally or informally, Russian History.

The book is built upon that theory that one or more of the Romanov children escaped death. I t keeps you on pins and needles. Very good book.

I am new to Dan Berry (this was the second book of his that I have read), and I find his books to be wonderful. If you liked Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, you will LOVE any of Berry's books. This is fast-paced historical thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I have recently discovered Steve Berry, and am quite a fan. I like the way he intertwines history with a riveting action story.

It took 150 pages to get interesting but, after that, it was a good read.

Interesting historical novel .While fictional, it gives knowledge to the reader about the history of Russia before the communist regime took over. Also adds to the mystery of what really happened to Alexie & Anastasia.

Gripping story focusing on the possibility that not all the Romanov's were murdered. Pulls you into the story leaving you wanting more.

I enjoyed the other 2 Steve Berry books that I read but this one needed some serious editing, especially the first half of the book. There were so many foolish mistakes - 'blistering wind' is one of my favorites -that it was almost comical. It could have been very good but, alas, it wasn't.
Great book. I enjoyed the historical aspect about the Romanov family.

The is the best of Steve Berry. Easy read, and even a bit of history thrown in.
This is a "what if" book! After the fall of communism and a series of weak leaders, the Russian people have voted to bring back a tsar to be chosen from one of the distant relatives of Nicholas II. Mystery, action and suspense follow when it becomes known that Rasputin had left a prophecy that the murder of the Romanovs was not the last chapter in their story. Earth shattering implications for the future of a tasar and for Russia itself

Another puzzle of history to be solved. The Russian Romanov family and another interesting fictional account of "what may have happened". Fun.
Remember Tsar Romanov and his family who were brutally murdered in 1918? Was Anastasia among them? Interesting reading about the plot to cover up the knowledge of this horrific crime.

This is a great story with a flavor of the Davinci Code. You'll enjoy it.
Fast-paced, well-researched. Not a dull moment.
Very good, reminds me of the DaVinci code.
A little farfetched, a little predictable, but a fun read especially if you like books like The Da Vinci Code.
This is so much more exciting than the Davinci Code. It is constant action. It would be a great movie!
This is very fast-paced. In many ways it is like Dan Brown's books (Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, Deception Point.)

Good example of the genre. Fast paced and full of history
A litle slow to start but a well written and believable plot.
What if Russia decided to return to rule by the Czar - and was looking for a true descendent of the last Romanov Czar. This was a fascinating look back to the events of the Russian Revolution and the events surrounding the death of the Czar and his family, and an interesting modern day adventure that spans the globe.

Who is the rightful next czar of Russia?
Cross between John Grisham and Dan Brown
Pretty good at the end, learned a lot about Russian History.
After the fall of Communism, the Russian people vote to bring back the tsar. Atlanta lawyer Miles Lord is hired to find the last remaining decendants of Nicholas II. Using a cryptic utterance of Rasputin's, Miles finds both his life and Russia in great danger.

Another excellent novel from this author. It reads like a (good)action movie, and with all the research he does everything seems (almost) plausible. He also does an excellent job with motive, fully explaining why characters do what they do. This is a very enjoyable read!
Good read. Lots of action. Reminds me of early Ludlum

The question about what really may have happened to the Romanov family is a tantilizing thought for history buffs, or even for those who love to read fiction with a healthy dose of reality mixed into the prose.
The Romanov Prophecy moves fast and wastes no time drawing the reader into the what-if's and the maybes. This is honestly one of the best reads available.

I really enjoyed this- the Romanov's are always fascinating and the premise here is that their closest living relative will be part of a restoration to Imperial Russia in the post-communism atmosphere of the present. The big question the book seeks to answer (and does answer) is- did any of the immediate family survive?

A highly entertaining story involving reinstatement of the tsar in
Russia. The tsar will be selected from among the distant relatives of Nicholas II. Attorney Miles Lord conducts background search on one of the candidates.

WOW! Very good.
An engrossing merger of fact and fiction concerning a return to imperial reign in contemporary Russia and the search for a true Romanov heir.
A thriller for history buffs, involving the mystery of Rasputin and the Romanov royal family of Russia. If you enjoyed "The Da Vinci Code" you will really like this book.
